I am aware that I haven't updated for a while and I apologize. Exams, that's why.
The end is near and lots of things will be happening so without further ado, I give you Chapter 40.
---Lea's POV
As expected, Angel had the same look on her face as I did when I first caught sight of her. It was as if time froze the place, yet she was moving, slowly. She was glancing at the place, her curly locks brushing across her face. I stopped the middle of cleaning the countertop. The oblivious girl looked up, meeting my eyes, then froze as well. And as if fate planned everything, Angel stepped into the shop, freezing as she saw the girl's reflection on the mirror next to me.
Angel stepped forth and made her way towards us, legs jiggly. I could tell how nervous she is just by looking at how she walks. The familiar-looking girl shifted her eyes from me to Angel, her eyes widening.
"You're real." She mumbled.
"Yes, we are." I replied with no hint of sarcasm, which is very unusual for me. We continued to gape at her as she looked at us in utter shock and disbelief.
Fortunately, someone interrupted us from our little staring competition. "You guys know each other?" She asked, looking at me in particular.
I'm not much of a social person. Angel is my only friend. It's mainly because no one other than her could handle my sarcasm.
I'm not sure myself, Laurie, but for fuck's sake... "Yes."
"Wow, Elizabeth. I didn't know you have friends." Liz's sister, Talia... or Tania.. whatever, commented. "But that's great."
Liz gave her sister an awkward smile. Laurie assisted Tania to the spare rooms we had upstairs while we three were left frozen where we were.
"You. Are. Real." The look of confusion mixed with surprise never left Liz's face the entire time. She was also shaking so bad, for Christ's sake, that I had to drag her to a chair. I had to pull Angel with us, too, since she was just as petrified as Liz.
Looking at how meeting each other in real life affected the two, I mentally thanked every celestial being there is for making me quite stoic.
"You two should probably speak now." I commented after about five minutes of awkward silence. Meeting Rae was fine, but meeting Liz creeps me out big time. To be honest, behind the poker face I have on at the moment, my heart is beating wildly, severely out of control.
Angel reacted at last, shaking her head sluggishly.
"What?" I snapped at her in irritation. Her speechlessness makes me all antsy and I'm sure that I am going to burst either of anger, nerviness or perplexity any time soon. Or worst, I might burst because of everything.
"Slap me." She said. I did. "Ow!"
"You asked for it." I rolled my eyes at her then looked at Liz, who was silently laughing at the two of us. Great. Just great. I think we just looked like two idiots in front of her. But anyways, it's great to see her chill out. This way, we could talk about 'it' without breaking down.
Rae's POV
I felt the urge to bite on my fingernails as I was walking to one of our hospitals here in the UK. She is here. Erin Ford just arrived from New York through a private jet.
With my hands craving to do something, I decided to call Angel. I leaned against the wall opposite to the ICU's door and started dialling her number. After two rings, she finally answered, making me sigh in relief.
"R-Rae?" She asked, stammering. I let out a deep breath. "It's Erin. She's here. My mom fulfilled the deal."
"That's... great, I think..." Her voice trailed off, indicating that something is wrong.
"Is something up?" I asked in plain curiosity. My heart was throbbing in anxiousness looking at the ICU door alone. If something is up, I do not know if I could still handle it.
"Um, Liz from the, uh, dream. She is here at this very moment." My heart jumped out of its place at once.
Without hesitation, I told Angel to meet me at the hospital lobby as soon as possible.
The bridges are starting to work as they are supposed to.

I think this is too short. I apologise.Anyways, Merry Christmas fellas!
