White Spider

Chapter 4: Life and Death

At the point of seeing his girlfriend get injured, Spiderman started seeing red. He pounces onto Carnage beating him to the ground to the point where Carnage faints. Spiderman kneels to White Tiger's side, his mask off, tears coming from his eyes.

"Ava," he says in between tears. He turns to his watch, "Fury, we need immediate medical support, Tiger down.!" Upon finishing the call, he lays his head on Ava's chest, her hand in his as he tries to stop the bleeding.

S.H.I.E.L.D paramedics arrive on the scene, taking Ava by rescue stretcher as Peter follows.

One Day Later

In the hospital room, Spiderman looks down at Ava's sleeping face in shame. Nick Fury puts his hand on Spiderman's shoulder.

"You did the best you could."

"What if my best isn't enough, Fury? People can get hurt, that's what happened here. And Carnage is still on the loose" Spiderman snapped.

"You can't save them all, kid." Spiderman began to walk away upon Fury finishing his sentence.

"Where are you going, kid?"

"To finish what I started," replied Peter darkly, he was never going to peace with the fact that Ava got injured.

Spiderman quickly changes into a white Spiderman suit with black web and spider markings. The revenge hunt has begun.

15 Minutes Later

Spiderman is swinging around to find Carnage to settle the score. Eventually, he finds him in an alley preying on a few humans.

"There is hell to pay," Parker says in the shadows.

"Who said that?" Carnage replied in fear looking around. Swiftly he gets kicked in the face.

His fists bombard Carnage in rage, "If White Tiger never wakes up, I will make sure you won't either!"

Carnage faints as S.H.I.E.L.D agents arrive shortly to contain the symbiote.

Peter returned to Ava's hospital room in his civilian clothes, but to his surprise, she is awake.

"Hey." Peter says, breaking the silence.

"Hey, I thought you gave up on me." Ava said frowning.

Peter frowned at her comment, "I took care of some things. I'm sorry I wasn't here the whole time, Ava, but I'm here now."

Nick Fury walks in, "Ava, it appears you will be back in action in 2 weeks and Spiderman, no, I'm sorry, White Spider, good work taking down Carnage.

Ava gave her boyfriend a look of surprise, never did she know he could take down Carnage in a matter of 2 days and a new alias for Spiderman? Peter just smiled back.

"Director, sir, I wanted that to be a surprise..."

Fury stood with his good eye wide open, "Oh. My bad, White Spider. I'll get out of the way." replied the director of S.H.I.E.L.D now walking out of the room.

"White Spider?" Ava asked confused at the new name.

"Ava, I made a suit with colors like yours 2 years ago. I wanted us to be a team, just you and I."

Peter leaned in for a kiss, Ava doing the same. Their lips eventually met.

"You guys are so cute together!" squealed Squirrel Girl in the background. The couple stopped, annoyed and embarrassed, they got ready to leave.

"Let's get you home." Peter lifted a bandaged Ava in a bridal carry since she was bandaged, and swung to Aunt May's house.

They were shocked to find Aunt May dead on the ground. Peter collapsed to his knees beside her. His only remaining family was now dead. He fought back tears from his aunt's body. Ava knew the bond that they shared.

"P-Peter..." she stuttered in sorrow.

Peter growls angrily, "I will avenge you!" he shouts at his Aunt's corpse.

Nevertheless, they attended the funeral. White Spider became dark like his teacher for the past 3 years, he swore to enact revenge on the culprit.

Agent Coulson and Peter's former team also attended the funeral, with grim faces.

"She was like a second mother to me." Sam remarked sorrowfully.

"She took us in when we lost our home." Ava remarked in the same tone.

They all payed their respects to the person who took them in temporarily and acted as their parent. They all already missed her. She was gone.
