Brian's POV

Roger and I have been together for 45 years now. We started dating on October 16th 1974, and today our confessions of love happened exactly 45 years ago. I can't believe we actually managed to stay together all those years. My love for Roger hasn't changed a bit, if anything I love him even more. His cute smile and blue eyes have given me life, they helped me cope with some depressions I had over the years, the one I got when Freddie passed away being the hardest to overcome.

We moved out of our apartment to a huge mansion, bought with the royalties from I'm In Love With My Car in 1985, not a long time after the Live Aid concert. Roger and I are still playing gigs, even though we lost our lead singer and John left Queen. We are convinced it is what Freddie would have wanted, so by touring we honour his legacy.
We did take a new lead singer, a flamboyant young man named Adam Lambert. He's quite a diva, like Freddie was, yet I can't help but think about the time when Freddie was on stage with us. Those were the best times of my life, without  doubt.

As I wandered around in my mind, thinking about the good old days, I heard the front door slam.

'Honey, I'm home! I brought you some hummus, come out and eat it you weird vegetarian!'

I chuckled, and got up. It took a bit longer than it used to, for my back had been killing me lately. I amde my way down the stairs to see Roger putting the groceries in the fridge. I walked up to him and wrapped my arms around him.

'What's that for? Not that I'm complaining...'

'I just love you very much, princess, is that a solid reason?'

'You have to stop calling me 'princess', I'm not young and beautiful anymore.'

'You are always beautiful, Roger, no matter how old you are. Your spirit stayed young, so I see a young person standing in front of me. Plus, I love the way you wiggle your nose when you get annoyed.'

I smiled, and Roger playfully hit me on my shoulder.

'Have you heard about that movie someone's making about our lives?'

'Of course I have. I might be a vegetarian, but I don't actually live under a rock.'

'The director invited us to come to the set and help out with impressions of us and authenticity. Do you feel like you're up to it?'

'Absolutely! I can hardly wait to see who's going to play me. It might be difficult to really understand my essence, so I could help the actor with that. This is going to be amazing!'

'I just hope they have found someone equally beautiful to play me, otherwise I'm not helping.'

'Roger, stop pouting over every little thing. It will be fine. When can we come?'

'Today is the first day of shooting, and we can stop by at two in the afternoon.'

'That's in half an hour. Let's go, I'll drive.'

'No you won't, I don't trust you with my love, poodle head.'

I laughed and followed Roger to the car.

We heard the music blasting from about five miles away. When we arrived at the set, a band was playing on the replica of the Liva Aid stage. They weren't in costume, but I could see who was playing who. The guy in the centre was copying Freddie's movements, the guy on the right was fiddling with a black guitar and the guy on the left had a bass in his hand. The guy in the back, playing the drums was obviously supposed to be Roger. I took Roger's hand and we went looking for the director. Not that it was a difficult task, we soon found him. The man was in a chair, holding a megaphone.

'CUT! Take five, boys.'

'Hello, I suppose you are Bryan Singer? We were told to meet you here. I'm Brian May, and this is Roger Taylor.'

'Ah, yes, I figured. Your hair is hard to miss, you see. Come on, let's meet the boys.'

We walked to the stage, where the actors were laughing and joking around. They got silent as we approached. Bryan Singer introduced us, but I doubted that was necessary, for all four of them stared at us like we were ghosts or something.

'Guys, I present to you Brian May and Roger Taylor from Queen. Brian, Roger, meet Rami, Gwilym, Joe and Ben. Rami will be playing Freddie, Joe is John, Gwilym is playing you, Brian, and Ben will be representing you, Roger. I'll give you some time to get to know eachother.'

He walked away, and left us with the guys. There was a bit of an awkward silence before Joe started rambling.

'I am such a big fan of you guys, I can't believe it's really you! Could you please sign my shirt? No, sign my photo's. And my phone case! I'm sorry, I'm over reacting. I'm very excited to meet you!'

'Joe, mate, you have to calm down.'

Ben spoke with a British accent, and his posture was a bit macho. Then he turned his attention to us.

'Hey. So, I'll be playing you. I can't really drum though. I lied on my application. I was hoping you could teach me he basics? Well anyways, nice to meet you both.'

Gwilym coughed.

'So, I'm Gwilym Lee. I'm honoured to play you. I can't wait to start!'

And last but not least, Rami introduced himself.

'That leaves me, I guess. I'm Rami, Rami Malek. Playing Freddie Mercury is the greatest thing to ever happen in my life, and it would mean the world to me if you would help me to get to the bottom of his personality, so I can represent him the best I can.'

Roger squeezed my hand, probably meaning to say 'I approve of these guys, especially Ben! He's hot!', and I just smiled as I looked at the people who would be replaying our lives. This was going to be amazing.
