* A couple of weeks later, the songs are all recorded *
Roger POV

'Guys, get in here for a sec. We need to discuss something. That means you too, Freddie, get off the couch and put the vodka away.'

Deacy was getting kind of pissed, which was rare, so we all hurried to get to the kitchen before he would poison the cheese on toast he made for us every morning as a punishment for being late.

'We're here now, darling, what is it?'
'Well, we're pretty much done recording, so I figured it was about time to choose the singles.'
'Ah yes, we do need to do that. Any suggestions?'
'Perhaps we could do my song?'

I snorted, but Freddie gave me a dirty look so I shut up. I didn't want poisoned booze as well. Brian also wanted his song to be a single.

'What about '39?'
'That's also an option. I think we should also consider my song, Bohemian Rhapsody.'
'That's settled then. BoRhap will be an A-Side, and I think You're My Best Friend should also be an A-Side. John is a good songwriter, it will definitely be a hit. '39 can be the B-Side to one of those, I don't mind.'
'I want I'm In Love With My Car to be on the B-Side to Bohemian Rhapsody, if you don't mind. I think it belongs with the other masterpiece.'
'Roger, dear, I absolutely do mind. You are not getting the B-Side to my amazing song for a song dedicated to making love to cars.'
'I have told you, Freddie, it's about loving cars, not about making love to them. That would be weird.'
'Yeah, and a song about loving cars is not? Sorry darling, it's a no. We can maybe put Good Company on the B-Side, it's quite cheerful and light, a nice diversification from the heavy operatic section of Bohemian Rhapsody.'
'This is not over, Freddie. I will get the B-Side.'

I angrily walked away to get some fresh air, and I heard footsteps following me. I sat down underneath the tree on the hill and I saw Brian running towards me.

'Hey babe. Don't worry about Freddie, he's just a bit drunk. You might be able to reason with him, but don't expect too much. He is, after all, very much himself.'
'I know. Can we cuddle? I really need to relax after these stressful days.'

Brian wrapped his arms around me and I closed my eyes. Only a few minutes later I heard some light snoring coming from the person holding me. Well, guess there's not much to do for me but sleep.
We woke up to a freezing wind blowing in our faces. The sky had gone dark, and our stomachs rumbled. Our hands intertwined as we walked back to the farm. Brian quickly made us dinner, for John and Freddie were nowhere to be found. I went upstairs to tell them dinner is ready, but halfway up the stairs I heard some weird noises coming from Freddie's room. I don't remember him bringing a boyfriend, what on earth is going on there? I slightly opened the door to see Freddie on top of someone else, but who? I opened the door just a little further and I almost made a sound, but I managed to keep quiet and close the door without them knowing. I ran downstairs and repeatedly tapped, well, hit Brian's arm to get his attention.

'Freddie and John are having sex. Upstairs. Is saw them. We really are a bunch of drama queens aren't we?'
'THEY WHAT?'
'Shush! They might hear you! We must play it cool, we can have some fun with this. I'll call them from downstairs, let's see how they get out of this one.'

I smirked and walked to the stairs.

'FREDDIE! JOHN! DINNER IS SERVED!'

They took some time to come down, but after a while they did. John came down first, his hair messy. He had put on different clothes from the ones he wore today. He walked as if he had a back ache, and 1+1=2. We really got them this time. He sat down as Freddie descended. He looked sweaty and hadn't bothered to change his clothes. He sat down next to John, the only available place since Brian and I sat besides eachother during every meal. The silence was unbearable. Well, for them at least. They avoided looking at eachother as they filled their plates and sat about metre away from eachother. I decided to put some oil to the fire.

'So, Freddie, are you seeing anyone at the moment? I haven't heard you speak of anyone in perticular, but we know that you can't last very long without shagging someone. So, spill the tea! What's new?'
'Nothing, darling, I'm all alone. I won't be for long though, I saw this cute guy at the bar we went to yesterday. What was his name again? Paul, I believe, Paul Prenter. He seems nice.'
'That's great, Fred. Now let's eat before Brian's precious pasta gets cold.'

Brian and I exchanged looks, but said nothing. We just ate our dinner and went upstairs directly after. Deacy and Freddie hadn't bothered to cook, so they could do the dishes together. Way to be considerate, I know, but they deserve eachother. If they really do like eachother they should be together.
Brian layed down on our bed, opening his arms for me to join him. I did, crashing some of his bones while I did so. I buried my head in his curls as he ran his hands up and down my back. He fiddled with my hair for a bit, and then he decided he should fall asleep again, that lazy badger. I didn't mind though, we needed the rest. We had been recording for weeks now, from seven am until ten pm on most days. We had some short cheese on toast breaks, but that was all we could permit ourselves. I dozed off, thinking of Deacy and Freddie.
