Lenka

Apparently, with the look on Nikki’s face, it managed to keep me awake. It was really adorable and heartwarming for me.

When we stopped at the house it was like the scene on every horror movie that my own house looked like an evil lair of the bad guy. I just saw and noticed it now.

“Uhm, Miss?” Nikki called while she was latched to my arms.

“Yes?” I looked at her and paused at the step I was at the staircase.

“I still don’t know your name.” She pointed out and I realized that she had a point. She’d call me ‘miss’ and it’s quite disturbing since I got used to superficial honorifics or my first name being called.

I went down to face her and smiled. “I’m Lenka Kagamine. Pleased to meet you, Nikki. You can start calling me big sister if you plan to stay for a long time.” I told her and she squealed in anticipation then hugged me.

“Thank you so Much, Lenka-nee!” It actually made me smile. I don’t have my brother around to treat me like this. It brightened my mood.

At the corner of my eye, I saw Akaito look away with resentment at his eyes.

“You do realize who she is and what you took in, Miss Lenka.” He looked at Nikki like she was an abomination.

“I know who and what she is, Akaito.” I told him and carried Nikki at my arms and she was quite flustered that I did.

I was supposed to add words to my sentence but it was best that I kept my assumptions to myself. It was safer like that right now.

We went back inside the mansion and gave particular and careful instructions to Akaito to give her the room next to mine so that she can rest.

“But, Lenka-nee, the wolf might eat me without you looking.” Nikki looked at Akaito with her eyes then back at mine.

Wolf…

Human…

Werewolf…

“He won’t eat you. The huntress will kill him if she did.” I glared hard enough at him and it made him bat his eyes away from me.

“Okay.” I let Nikki down and made her follow Akaito upstairs to her room.

As for me, I went to the Kagamine Archives and Libraries to do my own research. Both on Vampires and Werewolves.

I hope the feeling in my gut was right.

Nikki 

I followed Akaito as Lenka-nee asked me to but I didn’t cling to him like I do with big sister. He was emitting a murderous aura around me since he spotted me with Miss at the clearing back at the forest.

“Hey, Kid.” He spoke and I took a step away from him and looked up at him. “Stay away from Miss Lenka. She knows nothing of vampires and I will not allow her to be taken.”

I was confused with his words as he spoke to me. It was similar to him pertaining that Lenka-nee has something to do with the race existing in this world. What is her relation to our race and made it this mutt mad with Vampires?

“What is Miss Lenka?” I asked him and made him stop from his walk.

“Do you wish to know?” He asked and long silence followed after that.

“Know what?” I asked him and continued walking.

“A secret of Miss Lenka I have sworn to keep from her as I made contract with the council of Elders a long time ago.” He replied and followed next to me.

“Yes.” I answered.

The next things I have heard was not expected.

“Miss Lenka’s soul and Rin Kagamine’s soul, our previous Queen, resides in one body.”

That was when I tried to put the pieces together.

Lenka has the previous Queen’s soul yet was born human. Surely the king must be in this world to look for her or have found her already but she has no recollection and what or who she really is. Akaito is her guardian from the werewolves left from the four major tribes making her almost undetectable from danger’s radar.

“That would make Miss Lenka a pureblood, right?” I asked him.

“Technically but in order to have Rin’s soul awaken her Vampire side, another pureblood must bite her.” Akaito said and stopped walking in front of a door.

“And I assume the king already knows where she is?” I asked.

“Yes and that is the reason why I won’t let Len Kagamine touch her. A lady as pure as her should not heed to the calls of the past even if it haunts her.” Akaito told me and opened the door.

It revealed a crimson room with gold highlights and it was similar to a room I have seen back at the palace when I visited once before.

“I like it. Thank you.” I smiled at him and even though he’s one grumpy wolf, I like him.

“You’re welcome. Since you’re under Miss Lenka’s care, feel free to call when you need something.” He told me. “Keep those words a secret between me and you or you’ll never see one glimpse of Miss Lenka ever again.” He warned and turned around, walking back down to his own duties.

“Whatever, Mister grumpy.” I told him and entered my room.

I know, too short but can you blame me? I am tiured..
