I was going to scan the whole library for all articles and other books related to vampires, werewolves and other creatures lurking in the dark but Akaito surprised me when he stood at the door of the archives room where it was hidden deep under the mansion grounds, just near the wine cellar.

“Miss Lenka, you must be getting ready for school.” He reminded me and gave me a humble bow.

I looked at his crimson eyes before I turned around and went out of the library with only one book hidden under my shirt. Something to read while in school…

I went upstairs and went to check on Nikki and found her lying down at the bed with a grin plastered on her face.

“This room good for you?” I asked her and she nodded.

“Very! The bed is so soft and spacious! I even have my own bathroom!” She told me and bolted out of bed and hugged me. “Thanks for this, Lenka-nee.” She told me and I smiled at the girl.

“You’re very welcome. Besides, It’s lonely with only me at the mansion so I figured why not take you in.” I told her and ruffled her hair which I found soft to touch.

I stared a little longer at her brown eyes before she pulled away from the hug and made her go back to enjoying her own room. “Nikki, I’ll be going to school. You okay to stay here in the mansion? The maids and butlers can assist you around the house if you need anything.”

“Okay. Take care, Lenka-nee.” She smiled at me and I walked out of th door and went to my room.

After taking a short shower and changing to the school uniform, I took my things and went out of the house with Akaito waiting for me at the car and drove to school.

As usual, some people were looking at our way.  Since it was the second day of the term, I don’t see much people I recognize. The cheerleading squad was there with the jocks. The literature club was out hanging at the grass under apple trees, reading. The rest were the same faces from last semester so not much noticeable change was there except for that blond idol who decided to transfer here.

“Lenka~” A heard someone from afar call me name then later, I felt a pair of hand snake around my neck.

“L-Lyra?” I turned around and saw a dear friend. With a smile on my face, I hugged her and smirked. “How are you? I didn’t notice you yesterday.” I told her and she just smiled apologetically.

“Damn douche from the sprint team decided to get me after school so I had no time to hang with you. I had to lose him and go home afterwards.” She told me and sighed.

No wonder she wouldn’t be chased. The girl was a hot mess. Her hair was wavy and elegant in a deep red color and her eyes were one of the rarest that people would see—Purple. Even at a young age of fifteen, she can nail the school uniform look by changing the leather shoes to supra shoes that looks good with her. Don’t mention the weird personality of being bipolar. You would actually mistake Akaito for her older brother.
