The One Where Annie Finds Out That Hayden Is Leaving

Annie's POV
We performed our song and got an A,, which was great. The bell rang,, signalling we could go home,, so I went back into the practise room and got my stuff.
I was turning to leave when I bumped into asher.
"Sorry." I said. He nodded and pushed past me.
"Dude What is your problem?" I exploded. "You haven't spoken to me since this morning!"
"Why do you think I haven't spoken to you since this morning?" He said. "I haven't spoken to you because I don't wanna mess your relationship up!" He scoffed and turned on his heel,, grabbing his bag and leaving me alone.
"It's my birthday tomorrow." Hayden said on the way home.
"What? Why didn't you say anything earlier?" I said.
"I didn't wanna make a big deal about it. Because it means that tomorrow is my last day here." He said.
"Oh yeah. I forgot about that. Where will you go?" I asked.
"Well someone told me ages ago that it would be best for me to not stay close because it would bring back too many memories." He said cautiously.
"What does that mean?" I asked.
"It means that on Sunday I'm moving to Roseville." He said.
"Where's that?"
"Near Sacramento."
"That's nearly seven hours away! That's further away than Vegas!" I said,, stopping dead in my tracks.
"That's why I didn't want to tell you." He said.
"So you were just gonna leave without saying goodbye or telling me where you were going?" I said.
"That's not what I said." He said.
"But it was what you were thinking." I said. "Wow." I started walking again,, trying to stay ahead of him until I got home and ignoring his calls. I went straight to my room.
I couldn't believe he was just going to leave without telling me where he was going or anything. I get that he didn't want to stay close because of his parents and stuff but I thought he would at least tell me what was going to happen.
I woke up still wearing the clothes I was wearing yesterday,, so I probably just fell straight asleep. But then I remembered that it was Hayden's birthday,, and even if I was pissed off at him I still had to say happy birthday.
Now I know this is really short,, but that's because my phone is very broken and I'm supposed to be getting it fixed soon.
Also I lowkey wanna turn this into an ashannie fic but it wouldn't fit in with the storyline so I'm gonna wait until this is finished and write another book.
