"Oh Anxiety~" I sing, walking into the kitchen where he and Patton are making cookies.

I notice Morality flinch at my voice while the darker of the two seems to ignore me.

Virgil grips the counter as I twirl a strand of his hair between my fingers, it brings a small smile to my face. He's annoyed at me. I think happily, not scared, but it's a start.

I slide myself into the gap between him and the cold marble, putting my face inches from his, "whatcha doin?" I ask.

Pushing himself away from me, Anxiety mutters, "it's of no interest to you."

"Ugh, fiiinneee." I whine, before going over to Patton, "whatcha doin?" I ask him, leaning my chin on his shoulder and looking at the recipe book in front of him, at the top of the page in big letters it states, GingerSnap cookies in big bold letters.

I feel the light blue fabric flinch at my touch, and Morality looks to the recently moved side as if for help.

Anxiety moves swiftly towards me and takes hold of my cloak, which I wasn't wearing during our first meeting but now proves to be a disadvantage on my end.

"Dude!" I exclaim as he pulls on the black fabric, making a tear form in it, "this was brand new!"

"Why don't you make another one?" The accused side asks, "if you have such a great creative side."

I smirk, "I thought you'd never ask." I wave my hand and suddenly his hoodie is gone, revealing a  torn mauve shirt underneath, Anxiety is visibly uncomfortable. "Let's just..." I wave my finger like a baton and spiders seem to pop out of the air. Actually they do, and Morality almost jumps on the counter in fear.

At this moment Logi-bear walks in and I feel a sudden strain on my powers, dammit I'm still weak.

Oh well, the least I can do is give this guy a hair cut.

I watch as all three faces of the sides in front of me contort from nervous jittering to wonder to extra nervous glances around as strands of purple fall around their heads and onto the floor.

I laugh, "just kidding!" Their hair goes back the way it was, but Logans is slightly different because I've left a note tangled in his wavy magenta locks.

By the time they untangle the note I've disappeared, watching from my laptop as they read it.

Anxiety looks at Logan questioningly when he drops the note and brings a shaky hand over his mouth, Logi must remember the good times, right?

......

Thomas looked up at his parents uncomfortably, he was scrawny for a sixteen year old and acne covered most of his face.

"H-hey mom?" He said quietly, he didn't have to talk to his father because he had left nine years ago, meaning he had been mostly alone since age seven, his mom was always working so they had only the smallest trace of a relationship, if it could be called a relationship at all.

His mother turned around and looked at him tiredly, her phone pressed to her ear. She was discussing a possible problem in the stocks at her job and extra stressed because of it's possible job losses due to lack of money to pay wages. Speaking into the small box she said, "can I call you back? I have to make dinner." The person on the other end must have accepted the request because a moment later she put the phone down and gave him her attention, "yes sweetheart?" She said.

"Are we going to be okay?" He asked worriedly.

His mothers face softened as she replied, "of course we are honey, we'll figure this out, we always have, and we always will." She seemed to remember something and said, "now shoo, I need to make you dinner, I promised you I'd make your favourite tonight because your finals are due in a week, right? I'll get to that now."

"Okay.." Thomas knew his mother was trying so hard and she was an amazing parent despite the hardships she'd been through to keep him healthy and safe, but sometimes he wondered why he didn't feel comfortable talking to her about his mental health.

The boy walked back down the hall to his room, and as soon as the door shut he saw a figure appear beside his usual logic, who he had called called logi since he had first developed the trait in physical form.

But this one wasn't like logi. Logi was similar to him, only he wore glasses and talked funny, using big words Thomas did had to use a dictionary to understand.

This one had h/l h/c hair and e/c eyes that looked cunning and a little frightening, and they wore all black too, so it was difficult to tell where the shadow began and they ended.

Logi was obviously just as confused as Thomas was, looking at the new trait as if trying to categorize and make sense of who they were.

The new appearance smirked a bit and said, "hello Thomas, I'm glad you can finally see me. are you feeling well right now? I'm here to make things better."

.........

I wonder if Thomas is feeling well right now
