▪ Few weeks later ▪

"That was an easy job, don't you think?" Gray asked his companion as they strolled through the forest, returning from a job, which took place in a city called Lotus, few days march away from Magnolia.

"It was only so easy because you took them out so fast, my darling", Juvia complimented the mage walking next to her. "Don't be so modest, you would've ripped that girl too shreds if I hadn't just froze her", Gray remembered. Juvias eyes darkened as she remembered how flirty the foe was around Gray. "Well she had it coming."

The Ice mage laughed, clearly amused by his friends jealousy.

"It's getting dark, we should find some place to stay for the night", Gray noticed. Juvia just nodded and they started looking for a cozy place to set the tent. "Juvia has brought us a lovely sleeping bag", she exclaimed happily while showing off the bright pink bag. "It's summer, I don't think we need one", Gray commented. "Oye", Juvia sobbed.

It has gotten dark pretty quickly. After they have set up the tent and started the fire, they sat next to eachother grilling some fishes they bought back in Lotus.

"Take this", said Gray handing over a necklace to Juvia. "What's this?", she asked taking it and inspecting the treasure. It was a gold chain necklace with a diamond, shaped like a red water drop. "It's beautiful", she smiled. "You remember Mrs. Mar? After we finished the job, her son had no money to pay us, so she gave me the necklace. She said it's worth a lot. You can keep it. You probably like shiny things as ehm.. er.. girls usually do", he told her slightly blushing at the end.

"Thank you, Juvia will always wear it", she said happily and put it on. The red drop started to shine for a moment and then stopped. Juvia hadn't noticed it but Gray had. He didn't think much of it tho. He felt it was a magical necklace, so the sparkling was obviously for show.

"Juvia is going to sleep", she stood up "Goodnight Gray-sama." "I'll be there in a second. I'll just put the fire out."

Juvia walked into the tent and started taking off her shoes and jacket. While she was undressing, this time she did notice the necklace sparkling but just like Gray, didn't think much of it.

Outside the tent sat Gray, alone this time. He was supposed to put out the fire but he had already forgetten that it had to be done. His mind was occupied with different thoughts.

The past few weeks Gray took on alot of jobs with Juvia. For some reason going alone wasn't that entertaining anymore. Taking bad guys out while having Juvias easyful yet sometimes sassy persona around him, he couldn't remember what it felt like doing this without her.

Natsu and Lucy even started being jealous as it's been a while since Team Natsu was whole again. Gray smiled as he remembered Juvias reaction to that conversation.

"Gray, come with us. We found an exciting job!" Happy shouted while flying towards the brunet. "I'm going on a job with Juvia already", he sighed annoyed.

"What's up with you two, you both been pretty close lately", remarked Lucy who has come up with Natsu. Juvia, who was standing next to Gray as they were already exiting the Guildhall, smiled snarkily. "Yes, my Gray-sama wants to be alone with his Juvia. Just us." Her eyes glistening.

He chuckled to himself. Juvia liked showing off the attention he was giving her and he didn't mind because secretly, he liked her being this proud.

Gray stood up, put out the fire and while his thoughts were still pleasant, walked inside the tent. Juvia was lightly snoring in her sleeping bag.
He took off his clothes and laid down next to her. He watched her peaceful face "I do love being with you", he sighed "My Juvia", these words felt so natural on his lips he felt like shouting them into the world, but for now, whispering it to himself had to be enough.

After two more uneventful days they finally reached the Guildhall. "Aye, look who's back!" As soon as they entered, they heard Happy.
Juvia went on to Mira to give her the papers from the job and Gray walked over to his friends. "Hi guys", he greeted them. "Anything happened while we were gone?"

"You bet!" Natsu screamed excited. "A new Dark Guild has been spotted. Their guildhall is a ship, you hear me, a ship!?" he kept screaming.

"Don't be so noisy!" Lucy scolded him and hit the back of his head. "But it is true", she continued "Laxus and Master are currently on look out for them. Yesterday they have been spotted moving to Magnolia at an enormous speed. We have no idea what they want. Their guild mark is a thorny drop of water and few people were spotted having it in the cities nearby." "It's also rumoured, the members from Phanton Lord have joined them," added Levy who came by as she heard what the conversation was about.

"A thorny drop of water?" Gray asked to be sure. Juvia was already back and also joined the group. "Yes, we need to figure out what their plan is. Their magic energy is pretty intense", said Levy.

"I don't care, I'm gonna smash them into pieces, we defeated the Spriggans! They have no chance!" Natsu yelled excited. "Baka!" Lucy hit him again. "Last time we knew what they wanted, we had Brandish on our side and most importantly we had an idea who we are up against! This time we don't even know the guild masters name", she lectured him.

"Margaret Porla!" A voice spoke through the guild hall.
It was Master Makarov. He stood next to Laxus at the entry.

The faces of the guildmembers dropped. They remembered that last name too well. Juvia and Gajeel shivered. "Jose Porla", she whispered. "That jerk who used to be our guildmaster!" Gajeel remembered the times, as both of them were on opposite sides with Fairy Tail.

"Master! Are you saying that Margaret is Joses descendant?" Erza asked. "It is rumoured that she is his long lost daughter, and that she is looking for something. Her guild is called Lost Tessera, as in Lost Treasure. She has lost something that is currently here in Magnolia. She is on her way to regain it!" Master explained.

"I wonder what it is", said Juvia, worry showing on her face. Gray put a comforting hand on Juvias shoulder, "Whatever it is, we won't let her have it."

The guild started their banter and soon everyone forget about the oncoming threat, no one had the idea that the lost treasure was currently in their Guildhall.

So that's chapter 1 for you'all. Wonder what the treasure is hmm, the title was originally supposed to be "lost treasure" but i decided against it as it is not really gruvia related.
