The Fairy Tail mages, though they felt unsafe in the small storage room, knew that they needed to rest. Gray the most, if he really tried to take on Margaret.

They took turns on watch and tried to get some sleep.

In the early morning when it was Grays time to watch, he noticed the blue haired girl sitting on the couch - staring out the window.

He made his way over to her and sat down.

"Hey," he spoke softly.

Juvia looked over to him. Her eyes were teary and lacked the usual joy.

"Hey," Juvia replyd.

"Are you uhm... alright?" Gray shifted in his seat.

The Watermage buried her face in her knees and squeezed them tighter, "Juvia doesn't know."

Gray laid his hand on her head and a little blushing, stroke her hair, "Do you want to talk about it?"

Juvia looked up to him slowly and nodded. He encouraged her with a soft smile and sat a bit closer.

"Juvia killed that girl, didn't she?" She asked straightforward.

Gray sighed - an answer enough.

"Juvia doesn't know what happened. This girl... Gray-sama...", she blushed a little bit, "I saw you so close and I was just... scared."

"Scared? Why that?"

"This place... it reminded Juvia of what she had lost. My parents... a family," she sighed, "I know that it doesn't matter that much, because Juvia never had it in the first place... but now Juvia has Gray-sama." She looked up to Grays eyes with rosy cheeks, "I was scared that you would leave Juvia," the girl confessed.

A tear rolled down her face and she quickly looked away embarrassed.

"Juvia..."

Gray took her chin and turned her head to face him, "No matter what happens, I will never leave you. I... You uhm..."

Gray stuttered. As much as he wanted to give Juvia some word of encouragement, he asked himself if confessing so soon was the right thing. He wanted to prove himself first that he could protect her, then he'd do it.

The Ice Mage looked away blushing, "You're important to me, so don't worry." He smiled. "I promise to protect you."

Juvias face finally lit up a bit. Her eyes turned teary again but this time it was for a different reason. "That means a lot," she whispered.

They sat in silence for a moment, just enjoying the company of the other person. The sun rose and slowly filled the room with pink light.

"I still have to atone for what I have done," Juvia confessed out of nowhere.

"Huh?" Gray tensed. What did this mean? Was she planning on putting herself into more danger?

"Juvia lost control of herself. Let rage and jealousy take over." She let her head down. "I have taken a human life... Juvia, I-I'm going to confess to Margaret!" she stated and stood up confidently.

"What?" Gray asked a little too loud.

Natsu mumbled something as if he was to wake up but quickly fell back asleep.

"You can't! You can't go near that woman! She... she is dangerous!" Gray yelled in a whisper.

"Not more than me!" Juvia cried, "I let dark emotions take control, what better is Juvia than her?" She looked away.
