Chapter 1

"Mom, Dad. I'll get going" I said as I walked out of the house

"Hey, babe" Jimin greeted me with a kiss on the cheek the moment I got inside his car

"Hey" I replied and fastened my seatbelt

"So...Where are we off to?" I asked as he started the car engine and took off

"It's a surprise" He said with a smile.

After a few minutes of driving we stoped at a cliff where the view of the city was breathtaking, especially tonight.

I stepped out of the car and walked towards the fenced edge where the view was clearer

A few seconds later I heard the car door slam shut. Followed by footsteps.

"Happy Anniversary,babe" Jimin said while back hugging me with a bouquet of flowers in his hands.

"Happy Anniversary" I replied and pulled something out of my bag.

It was a small box which contained a gold chain with a half-hearted pendant.

Ofcourse I have the other half of it.

"Thanks babe" he thanked me and kiss my forehead.

I was really lucky to have him

I mean it's not everyday a cute guy gets into a relationship with me

I was not perfect but he still loved me

Needless to say, for me Jimin was too good for myself

I always have my hair in a messed up bud, paired with glasses and I was hella chubby

I was about to insult myself more when my thoughts got cut off when his phone rang

He took the call and walked away from me the moment he saw who was calling.

I stared at his the whole time he was having his call and i can see his happy expression and his smile was from ear to ear.

After he dropped the call he suggested that we should head back because it's already getting late.

"I'll see you tomorrow at school" He said and drove off.

Before I could walk inside I felt uneasy about something but I don't know what it was.

After entering i quickly headed for my room and placed the flowers Jimin had given me onto a vase.

I then took a warm bath changed into my pjs.

I was laying in bed and stared at the glow in the dark stars on the ceiling.

I've been with Jimin for a year now, he was my first boyfriend and I'm thankful for having him.

I woke up early and prepared for school.

I wore a pair of ripped jeans and a sweater considering that the weather was cold and the wind was strong.

I had my breakfast with mom and dad and had a little chat with them

"So Y/n, are you sure about the course your taking after you graduate?" My mom asked

"Yeah, it might take forever but it would be worth it" I replied and continued eating.

"Well if that's what you want them go for it, we will be here to support you" Dad said with a smile.

I feel like the luckiest girl on earth, I have such supportive parents. I don't know what I'll do without them.

I hurried to my locker considering that my first class is about to start soon.

I was getting my book when i heard a voice calling out my name.

"Mina, you're almost late" I said to her and she just gave me an innocent face.

"Almost" she said highlighting the word itself

"Get your book and lets go, unless you want to write a 5 page essay explaining why you're late for class" I said and she hurriedly got her book and dragged me towards class.

"Slow down" i said giggling at my bestfriend's behavior.

"Not a chance, I'm not doing that 5 page essay" She said and increased her pace.

After our morning classes I went looking for Jimin while Mina was at the cafeteria ordering out food.

I was about to pass a corridor when I heard my boyfriends voice and it seemed like he was talking to someone on the phone.

"How long are we going to put up with this?...... She needs to know......... Ok fine, I'll talk to you later..... yeah, bye.... I love you"
He said and ended the call.

Was he hiding something from me?

I ran back to the cafeteria and saw Mina at the far off side of the cafeteria with our lunch already at the table

I walked to her and plastered a smile on my face and sat across her.

"What took you so long?" She asked as if she waited for years.

"Sorry, I got caught up with something" I lied and started to eat.

"Ok that it! What's going on?" Mina asked as she paced back and forth while I just stared out into the distance.

"It's nothing, Mina" i lied but she wasn't buying it.

After what happened earlier I was totally off for the rest of the day.

"I wasn't born yesterday, Y/n. Spill" she said and I took a deep breath and told her everything.

During me explanation she had this mixture of shock and worried expression on her face.

I started to tear up when she hugged me.

"What should i do?" I asked her still in tears.

"I'm sure it's all just a misunderstanding" she said and hugged me even tighter.

"Thank you for being here, Mina. It means alot" I said and wiped my tears.

"You know that I'll always be here, right?. Your happiness comes first" She said and pulled away from the hug.

Mina was like the sister i never had. She was the kindest girl I've met and she was always there to protect me.

"Let's go, it's already getting late and we need to go home. Besides we need to start with our assignment" she said and i nodded.

"Correction: Assignmentsssss" i said prolonging the 's' at the end.

"Waaaahhhh!!!" She grumbled like a 4 year old who was forced to eat vegetables.

"Stop whining you penguin and lets go" I said and laughed at her attitude and we both headed home.
