Evan has been considered part of Marcel's inner circle ever since he came to New Orleans and befriended Eliza. The vampires accepted that although some of the nightwalkers sometimes looked like they would like to eat him, they stayed away from the human because none of them wanted to be punished. However, Evan felt out of place when he was sitting in a room full of vampires and right now, he was just thankful that Ellie was with him.
"Why am I here? Feels like this is none of my business," he said nervously, his leg was bouncing up and down as he looked around at the vampires staring at him and if Ellie and Diego weren't sitting next to him he'd probably be dead already. "Stop whining," Eliza simply said and smirked when Evan gasped at her and made a dramatic gesture by putting a hand on his heart.
"All right, I'm here. Let's do this," Marcel demanded when he entered the bar in which his vampires were gathered and walked up to someone who Eliza had never seen before. "I'll keep this simple. This kid is an old enemy of your favorite person Klaus. And he's got plenty to say about what that traitor, son of a bitch, has been up to behind my back. Now, for those of you faint of heart, there's the door. Because those who stick around, you're signing up for battle."
No one moved a muscle, not even Evan, who probably just stayed because he knew that he wasn't supposed to fight anyway so Marcel nodded proudly at the guy who was sitting in an armchair. "You all know Klaus wasn't always the hybrid. When he broke the curse that kept his werewolf side dormant, somewhere in all that, certain parts were now able to trump his vampire side. Like the ability to pass on the werewolf gene. That's where the werewolf girl he's been hiding from you all comes in. She rode through my town, pretended to be my friend and then end up hooking up with him. Now she's pregnant with his kid," the guy, Tyler Lockwood, explained.
Evan frowned and looked over at Eliza who seemed rather surprised herself. "Is that even possible?" He whispered to which his best friend shrugged but she still had a worried expression on her face. "It shouldn't be. But then again it's Klaus, you never know what he's capable of." Diego scoffed loudly, "what the hell this?" "Just listen," Marcel commanded and gestured for Tyler to go on so he continued talking about how Klaus had turned him into a hybrid and that he used to be supernaturally loyal to him but managed to break the bond.
However, Tyler didn't come far with his story when the door of the bar opened once again and Rebekah entered. "Hello, Tyler." The hybrid looked as happy about seeing Rebekah as Eliza was and the redhead was incredibly sick of her younger sister showing up everywhere. "What Tyler is about to tell you is that my brother can use the baby's blood to create new hybrids which of course would put an end to vampires. So, Tyler, I assume you were trying to rally this lot into making sure the baby isn't born."
Rebekah crossed her arms in front her chest and Tyler nodded. "Yeah. You don't like it? Go on and take your brother's side. But you know I'm right." "You are right," the blonde vampire said to Eliza's surprise because Rebekah speaking up against Klaus' actions? That's new. "The last thing we need is Klaus siring a superior species. She sped over to the boy and snapped his neck just to sit down on the chair he was sitting on before. "But we're not hurting the child. Klaus is the one we're putting a stop to."
