Vault Bound

Chapter 9

The air was thick with emotion. Fear. Anger. Worry. Lust. Love. Everyone's breathing was heavy. Not a sound was made, but everyone was thinking the same thing. Where the hell were they keeping the girls.

Acer was hot on the trail his nose following even the slightest scent of what he hoped was the girls. He knew one thing for sure was that if anything happened to them, he was to kill the one who caused them harm. The male also felt pity for his pup. Not long in the world and she was already kidnapped because of his & his parents past. The thoughts fueled his anger more and more until he was practically blowing steam out of his ears.

Raven bite her tongue to stop the over flow of emotions for spilling out. She had to stay strong for her pup, she couldn't let her pack see her weak. Although Zeus stepped down as Alpha she was still Beta unless she was to be challenged. She couldn't let her pack see her weak it was impossible for them to see her weak because if they seen her weak they would challenge her status. She inhaled deeply and turned off her form of humanity just how she did when Sasha broke her heart. She was now just a shell of a dog. The only thing keeping her sane at the very moment was the thought of having her pup sitting in between her legs once more.

Zeus and Zuma were together searching for their grand pup. Zeus' head shot up when he heard snarling coming from the cave they stood in front of. He watched closely standing in front of Zuma in a protective manner. They both studied the darkness when piercing yellow eyes opened and stared back at them causing fear to strike their bodies.

The figure emerged from the darkness the eyes still glowing with a darkness that hasn't been for told for many years. Scars littered the body of the dog it's fur multi patterned with Black and Tan mixing. The blood lust was clear in the eyes of the dog, and it was only until they were snout to snout did they realize what or rather who this creature was. It was Keesha. She shepherd that caused them so much pain, so much problems. Zeus felt a snarl rise out of his throat as he stared in disgust at the beast.

The shepherd was bigger than before as she stood at full height towering over both of the dogs. Her eyes flickered with evil as they always had, but something else flickered through her eyes that was unknown. She chuckled deeply as her lips curled up into a vicious smirk. "Surprise Surprise I'm sure you never expected to have to worry about me again hm?" He snickers continued as Zuma watched her claws dig into the dirt with no issue. "The humans used me for genetic testing while I was down in that cell down there rotting, plotting, wasting away. The created something of me that I could never thank them enough." Her laugh came out menacingly and forced as Zeus and Zuma backed away slowly knowing their defeat.

Keesha snarled when she noticed them backing away and in a swift movement she was behind them ushering them toward her cave. "I'm not finished!" she snapped lowering her head to yell in their ears causing them to cringe inwardly. Zuma took note that if she were to break now she could grab the shepherds tail and give Zeus the chance to escape and get the rest of the pack. As if Zeus knew her thoughts he shook his head at her rapidly, but she paid no mind to him as while the shepherd was looking away she matched her K9s onto her tail. Keesha yelped out in shock and some pain as her tail wasn't upgraded like the rest of her body just grew in size. Not wanting to fail his mate he darted out of the other side while Keesha was distracted and B lined it for the tree line. He used all his power to push himself faster and faster to get to the cover of the trees.

Zeus made it in one piece thankfully, but as he turned around his heart dropped at the sight. There his mate stood faced with the beast he knew the outcome of this, and didn't want to watch but his feet were practically glued to the ground as he watched the love of his life getting ripped off the shepherds tail. In one swift movement Keesha used her large snout the snap Zuma's neck in a quick move. She dropped her body on the ground as it fell to a slump. Zeus had a knot in his throat that he couldn't bare as Keesha stood to full height once more letting out a loud roar. "IM COMING FOR YOU ZEUS!" He used this as his cue to high tail it out of there, but with his heart empty and bare.

Many thoughts crossed his mind, but the biggest one was "how was he going to tell Acer?" He sometimes felt as if Acer loved his mother more than him, but he knew it was because he was a mamas boy. Always has been always will. He knew this would break him, and there was quite literally nothing he could because he was breaking too. Just barely keeping it together to find the rest of the pack to inform them what they are up against.

Zeus couldn't wrap his brain around how his mate would just take the bullet like that for him. So he could escape. They could have figured out another plan, they could have gotten out of there with both of them alive, but she just jumped at the first opportunity. His thoughts caused a big fat tear to roll down his face and down his snout as he pushed himself faster to find his son.
