The adrenaline that pumped through his veins was enough to power an entire roller coaster that led to China. He rushed to Ravens side in a hurry. "Someone get the humans. This is their fault" he snarled a bit snappy never-less Lyla ran barking crazily for a humans attention.
Raven groaned and rolled to her side in agony. "LYLA HURRY!" He snapped his teeth as he laid by Ravens side as everyone else gathered around. After about 5 minutes a human came rushing in and ushered all the dogs out of the room except for Raven and Sasha. They let Sasha stay by her side. Acer paced outside the door. His hips hanging quite low as the German Shepherd blood running through his veins. "Son." Zeus spoke with his masculine voice. "She'll be fine. She's the most strongest dog I know. She never gave up all that time ago she won't give up now. I know how strange all of this must be for you, but it's okay. It's strange for all us those retched humans are greedy mother duckers and will keep taking from us. That is until we are out of their grasps." Acer nodded in understanding as Zeus returned to his resigned space beside Zuma.
Lyla sat off to the side looking sorta sad. That was abnormal Lyla usually has a grin on her goofy self 99% of the time. Acer trotted over to her "hey.." he trailed off not a very good conversation starter himself. "What's wrong? You look sad." Lyla looked up her eyes dropping some. "I'm just kinda sad for you. I know you didn't want pups with Raven. She's like a aunt to you even though you all aren't blood it's still weird." Acer nodded. He thought about this often. Having pups with Raven it was quite strange indeed. He was happy to have a son or a daughter or both, but it was all just... strange. As his father said the humans are greedy. They will get what they want no matter what. One thing was for sure. Acer wasn't letting them lay a paw on his children.
The door opened and Acer was the first standing in front of the human with the lab coat. She sighed sadly "There were four.. only one made it." Acer's ears dropped with sadness. They lay down by his face as he slowly walked into the room hearing short sniffles coming from Raven. "Raven I'm-" he whined "so sorry." Raven looked up smiling sadly "it happens. The human said it's a genetic condition that most likely runs through my blood line. At least we have one though." She lifted her tail to reveal a beautiful female pup. She was all black not a speck of white from her mother's body, or brown from her father's mixed coat pattern. She must have gotten some from her mothers black patches, and the rest from the black mixed in with Acer's fur. Upon her father coming closer her eyes opened to reveal her beautiful glowing blue irises. Raven gasped and stared in awe at the small pup. Acer couldn't help the smile that grew its way into his usually cold face.
"What are you going to name her." Sasha nudged Raven. Acer had totally forgotten that Sasha was there but it didn't bother Acer much as she was Ravens mate. Raven looked to Acer for the answer. What were they going to name her? A perfect name popped into Acer's mind. He learned many unique words while being in the vault. "How about Luna? It means the Moon. She is as beautiful as the moon well the moon that I can remember at least." Raven smiled nodding "It's perfect"
Soon the entire pack surrounded them and were awing and cooing at the new pup. Acer stepped back to let others have a chance to see his daughter that he was very proud of. He looked out the window in which only shown dirt. He pondered why would they put a window if there is nothing to see. Zeus came up behind his son. "She's beautiful son. She truly is." Acer smiles softly still looking out the window. "Dad? Why would they put a window if there is nothing interesting to see?" Zeus inhaled deeply "Sometimes it's not what you see. It's the reason it's there." Acer cocked his head facing his father now "And the reason is?" Zeus smiled softly "That's for you to figure out. You have some more room to grow before you figure it out I guarantee it." He turned tail and walked away while Acer was left in confusion.
Acer sat there for a few more moments pondering over what his father had said. He didn't understand it no matter how he thought of it. He did understand one thing though. He wasn't letting his daughter grow up in a vault, and that was for sure.
