Trixies POV
"Mom can you take me over to Katyas?" I ask as she sits in her armchair crocheting. She sighs before moving the blanket she was making onto the side table and gives me a Stern look. "Look I'll give you fuel money, all my homework is done, I don't have work in the morning and I've already studied for my tests next term. She needs my help and if you don't drive I will." I warn with a hand on my hip.
"Really. Beatrice you don't even have your license, you don't know how to drive. No. You've been spending too much time with her. More so than usual lately. If you're finished studying go study more." She said making me scoff. I leave the room
and grab my backpack off of the bottom of the stairs. What she doesn't realise is that I do have my license and I can drive I just don't like it. I toss the keys that I'd already taken from mom's handbag in my hand leaving the house and jumping into the car.
As soon as I turn the keys it jumps to life. As I reverse I see my mom step out of the front door and throw her hands up. I ignore her and turn my attention to driving.
'You've been spending too much time with her' when she hasn't let me see her for a whole week and it's school holidays. Ugh.
It doesn't take long for me to arrive at her house successfully without killing anyone. I park the GT in the drive before racing to the front door and knocking.
I'm greeted by pat who pulls me in to a tight hug. "Thank you so much." She says before pulling back. "She's in her room and she won't move. I don't know what it is but you just have the magic touch." Pat's eyes are a little teary but I smile at her as I hold her hands.
"She'll be okay. Probably just stuck in her head like normal." I say calm as I can before going to her room. As soon as I open it I let out a sigh. Katya is in the corner shaking slightly. I close the door, grab her heaviest blanket from her bed and walk over to her.
I wrap the blanket around her tightly before pulling her close. She whisper a few things occasionally obviously stuck in her head. "Katya." I whisper softly but I get no reaction. "Katya, Katya. Listen to me. Katya?"
Her body stops shaking as much and I smile softly. "Katya baby listen to me. Listen to my voice." I whisper as she looks up at me with a familiar scared look on her face. "Kats you've been in your room all day so when you didn't go get your meds tonight your mom asked me to check on you." I explain as I hold her close.
"I'm sorry" I hear her say making me smile softly. Talking's a good sign. "Shut up." She hisses to herself.
"How many times have I told you Katya-" She flinches lightly"-you don't have anything to apologise for. I promised I'd always be here for you." I murmur stroking her cheek lightly.
"What would I do without you?" She mumbles back making me laugh softly.
"Probably die. Come on. Let's get some meds into you." I say poking her cheek softly. I pull her up and we walk out to the kitchen where Pat meets us.
"I have your meds and some tea for both of you. Trixie thank you so much. I hate to do this but can you look after her and have her over for tonight pretty please. I don't want her alone while I'm at work." She says and I smile at her.
"Of course I can do that. Have a great night at work." I say as I hug her tightly. When I let go she gives Katya a tight hug and mutters an 'I love you' letting her hug last a bit longer than normal before she runs out the door, running late for work.
Soon we're on the way to my house with Katya in the passenger seat still wrapped up in the blanket. "You look so cute." I say quitely glancing at her as I pull into my street.
She hasn't talked since she mumbled an 'I love you too' to her mom but still rolls her eyes before I drive up my driveway and park. I exit the car and rush to Katyas side. I take her duffle and put it on my back before picking her up bridal style. As soon as I'm in the door I see my mom. And boy does she look mad.
"Not a single word." I warn her holding out my hand that has the car keys so she can take them. "I told you that I would find a way no matter what. You just made me waste time." I say before continuing up the stairs to my room.
I place Katya down and immediately slip under the sheets with her. Her arms snakes around my body and we lay closely for the rest of the night not bothering to get changed.
