"Ah, you're back, angel." Said the 'boss'.

"No... I'm not back... you're back..."

"Ah..." Said the 'boss' when he realised that he was talking to Angella, not Amelia. "Are you before my angel, or after?"

"I don't know. I just want to know how I got here, and how I can leave."

"Well to leave you'd have to either walk out that door, over there, or wake up. As for how you got here, well... I saw you walk in through the door."

"I don't remember walking in..." The 'boss' stepped closer to Angella. "Woah... not too close. I'm Angella, remember. Not Amelia."

"Aw... well you look exactly the same, you sound exactly the same, you act exactly the same... You're exactly the same person."

"What..?"

"She's your legend. You're the real thing, angel."

"Well... I don't like the position that I'm in right now."

"Oh, but I do..." Angella tried to step back, but was stuck to the spot. She couldn't move her feet, so she leant back, instead.

"Who are you, anyway?" The 'boss' lifted his hand to gently caress Angella's cheek.

"Satan."

Angella woke with a start. The man from her dreams was Satan. The man for whom she'd betrayed God... was Satan. He was the ruler of the underworld. The king of the monstrous realm that was Hell. He was the Devil. It's not true. She tried to comfort herself, to make it all better, but there was no escaping the truth. Angella was more scared than ever before. Now there was no messing around. She absolutely had to get out of that house, so she found the letter that she'd written months ago, and wrote it again, on a fresh piece of paper, altering it in some places.

Dear Mrs Carpenter,

I'm sorry. I am ever-so dreadfully sorry that it has come down to this. Don't panic, as it's not your fault, but I have come to the conclusion that I must leave. I don't think I can stay here anymore. You see, I've been having recurring dreams, and they've frightened me very much. I can't say too much, but in my dreams was a man. A dangerous man. And he's real. They weren't normal dreams. They were my memories... sort of. I have discovered that before I came to you, I had a legend. From what I understand, she was dangerous as well. I fear myself, because of this girl. Therefore, in order to keep you and Billy out of danger, I have to leave. Please don't come looking for me, it will only put yourself and Billy in danger. Please understand that I'm not threatening you, I'm only trying to protect you. I wish there could have been a better end to this, but what must be, must be. As I have said, I am terribly sorry for any inconvenience I have caused you.

Angella

Dearest Billy,

Remember that I love you, Billy. Remember that I would do anything for you. You really have been like a little brother to me, but now I need to go and do what angels do. Please understand, Billy. I'll come and visit soon. That's a promise. Cross my heart, I'll see you very soon.

Love you always,

Angella

Angella checked the clock on the bedside table, which read 02:37. She glanced out the window to see that it was still pitch black outside. Quickly and quietly, so as not to wake the Carpenters, Angella took the letter downstairs, and pinned it to the fridge. Then, she headed back upstairs and gathered the few belongings that she owned, then silently crept out of the house.

Angella need somewhere to go, but had nowhere. She needed an escape that she didn't have. All she had was the opportunity, so she took it, to escape.
