a/nWE ARE ALMOST AT 1K READS OMG THANK YOU ❤️❤️
Roger had somehow managed to get himself a cab home, and remembering your words from earlier in the night he took himself to the spare room rather than the bedroom you shared together. He knew that if any resolution would be made then you would need your time to cool off and mull over all the nights events so you could have a clear mind when you re-approached the situation. He slept in his clothes, too tired now to get bed ready. Plus, trying to get clothes comfortable enough to sleep in would involve having to go into the room you were currently sleeping in and that didn't seem like the best idea at the moment.
The next morning the house was eerily quiet. Roger had barely gotten an ounce of sleep, and that combined with the alcohol he consumed last night resulted in his head feeling a bit worse for wear. He groaned as he stood up, making his way downstairs. Instantly he noticed evidence you were up and awake. The TV had been left on, certain cushions had been moved on the sofa and so on. As he padded into the kitchen, he noticed a note had been left on top of the cup he'd use for his morning coffee.
It read:
Rog, still don't want to see your face for now. Staying somewhere else for a while to think things over. The food is stocked up so you should be fine!
-Y/N
Reading this gave Roger a bit of hope. Whenever you had argued before you wouldn't even bother telling him you weren't home. Maybe things were just different this time. With a sigh, he ran a hand through his hair and began preparing his morning coffee.
Unbeknownst to Roger, you had decided to stay with Freddie until you could figure out what to do next. I mean, it's not like he was running low on space in his house. You must admit, it was weird to be back here so soon after what went down but it was the only place you could think of that was close enough to yours and Roger's that you knew you wouldn't be too much of a disturbance. When you had gotten to Freddie's house early that morning he greeted you rather enthusiastically and showed you to a spare room, saying that you were to help yourself if you were to need anything and that you would be in charge of the cats whilst he was out of the house. Safe to say you got settled in fairly quickly.
temporarily moved to Freddie's house, and since you had last spoken to Roger. The boys were at the recording studio today, which meant you were left to your own devices at home. Of course all the news outlets had got wind of your predicament and had it plastered across the front page of every newspaper in England.
As the boys were setting up for a long day of recording, Freddie arrived late as per usual. He looked slightly tired but they didn't think it was anything new. They all greeted him absentmindedly whilst setting up their equipment, before Freddie turned his attention to the drummer of the group. "Roger, does your wife normally snore?" He asked, causing everyone to look up suddenly. "Why on Earth would you ask a question like that?" Roger replied, rather tense. Freddie shrugged before he continued. "I can't tell if she's always snored or if it's because of the mattress in the spare room but-" Freddie didn't have the chance to finish before Roger was storming over to him, back straight and red faced. "Freddie, what do you mean the mattress in the spare room?" He said through gritted teeth. A million possibilities were racing through his head, barely any of them were rational. "Roger darling if you're insinuating that I am fornicating with your wife in your absence then you are greatly mistaken. She is simply staying with me until this whole ordeal blows over. Did she not tell you this?" Freddie informed Roger, which relieved a heavy weight off of his chest. He sighed deeply and relaxed his composure, running a hand over his face in an attempt to calm down. "No, she didn't. She didn't tell me anything. She just up and left. At least she's safe" Roger replied softly. His eyes suddenly widened. "I need to see her. If we have any chance of sorting this out I need to see her as soon as possible" he said, almost hurriedly. Freddie placed his hands on the shoulders of his band mate and shook him slightly. "You can and you will, but later I promise. She won't be expecting it if we go back after the recording session. Use the emotion in the songs, hm?" Freddie said calmly to Roger. Roger seemed reassured enough, as he went back to his drum set.
Dinner time rolled around faster than you had expected, meaning that Freddie would be home soon. You were in the lounge, playing with Delilah and Romeo on the floor. You finally heard the front door open and footsteps indicating that someone had come in. "Y/N dear I'm back! And I've brought a friend round for dinner is that alright?" Freddie's voices echoed throughout the massive mansion. You scoffed slightly. "Of course it's alright, it's your house after all" you called back. "Yes, but you are my guest. I must ensure that you are comfortable" Freddie said, sounding closer than he did before. "If you say so" you replied playfully. You began to hear footsteps approaching the room you were in currently. You stood up from the floor, only to be greeted with the one person you least expected. "Well, you're not Freddie".
Roger stared at you, chest hurting upon seeing you for the first time after the few days you had been apart. "Hey, I figured we could talk. Freddie's gone upstairs to give us some privacy" he spoke, the sound of his voice bringing a sort of melancholy to wash over you. You raised your eyebrows, motioning towards the couch before crossing your arms. Roger took a seat, and with a sigh you followed suit. "Go on. Start talking" you said. Roger ran a hand through his hair, straightening up in his seat. "Okay Y/N I'm going to try and make this as quick as possible. Clearly, I'm a fucking idiot. I'm honest to God sorry about what I've put you through. I shouldn't have done what I did, but I did and I should have told you much sooner, and I should have done it without Freddie ratting me out too" Roger spoke. You made a face at the last part but Roger continued anyway. "The main thing is that that period of our relationship and this one has proved to me that no matter how much I think I'm bored of you, there will always be times where I can't get enough of you and I would trade everything if it meant I could guarantee spending my entire life next to you" He said. Your expression softened instantly. Your heart felt like it was coming out of your chest. "Because you're the love of my life Y/N Taylor, you're the most beautiful woman I've ever laid my eyes on. You're my wife for fucks sake, for better or for worse" he continued. You smiled slightly. "I'm the better" you joked, a single tear slipping down your cheek. Roger instantly smiled. "So, am I in your good books now? Can you come home please? I miss waking up to your gorgeous face" Roger asked, making the heat rise to your face as a giggle escaped your lips. You nodded and lunged at him, cuddling and half straddling him. He placed kisses wherever he could reach; top of the head, forehead, cheek, nose, lips. He was just grateful to hold you on his arms and breath in your comforting scent once more.
