rain

many associate rain
with sadness
it looks like the sky is crying

but i love the rain
the soft thumping
on my window
the quiet whistle
of the wind
it is calming

but at some point
the rain and the gray sky
will go away
revealing a beautiful rainbow

i associate the rain with healing
first a storm
then a rainbow
