"The most beautiful part is, I wasn't even looking when I found you."

''''

"Bubble Gum." A gentle voice brought me back to reality. "Bubble Gum wake up. We're here."

I forced my eyes open and saw Jin's furrowed face.

"Is something wrong?" I sat back as Jin gave me space.

"What happened?" Jin fiddled with his keys, making the only sound in the car.

I saw that all the boys were no longer in the car.

"What do you mean?" I frowned and stretched a little. "I only took a nap."

Jin grew sad as he pointed to my knee.

My eyes widened when I saw my beanie no long concealing the bandage on my head.

I was speechless as Jin fully revealed the cut on my hand as well, my sweater no longer covering my hand.

"And your stomach. I saw you hold your stomach when you stood up too fast, and when you fell." Jin whispered, staring at my hand in his.

I cleared my throat and took my hand back, covering it once more.

"I went to Jiyoo's house last night. And, well, I walked home by myself." I glanced up at Jin nervously before looking back down at my hands. "This guy chased me home. I went through an alley, trying to escape him. The alley was filled with cinder blocks and other leftover construction equipment." I raised my injured hand weakly. "I fell and hurt myself. But, I lost the guy." And then whispered. "Luckily."

Then a bolt of lightning struck, causing both Jin and I to let out a scream.

Rain started to pour outside, and I could see puddles starting to form.

"Minjee," Jin grabbed my attention. "Are you alright? I can take you to a hospital to get everything checked out. I'll tell my manager to have the group shoots last-"

"No no." I quickly denied. "I dont want to be the reason your schedule is all messed up. I fine."

"Minjee, I dont care about my schedule." Jin clenched the keys in his hand. "You're a human being. You are my top priority at the moment, not some pictures." Jin kept our eyes locked. "Now let me ask this again, do you need to go to the hospital?"

I smiled sadly and looked down at my bandaged hand, trying to ignore the tears welling up in my eyes.

"No, I'm okay." I whispered reassuringly as I took Jin's hand in my own and uncurled his fingers from around the keys. I rubbed the indents on his palm and fingers, hoping they wouldn't leave any hour-long marks.

"Hey, don't cry." Jin's fiery eyes soften into a calm sea.

"I'm not crying." I grumbled quietly as I wiped my eyes.

Thunder from outside sent a shiver down my spine. Normally storms don't affect me like this.

"Come on." I felt his breath by my ear.

I quickly looked behind me, but I already knew there was no one there.

"Hey," Now it was Jin's turn to hold my hand. "One of us guys will walk with you now at all times, okay? I can't let my little Bubble Gum get in any trouble." Jin smiled reassuringly.

"Thanks Jin." I looked at our hands, strongly intertwined with each other. "We should go inside before Jimin can say he isn't late and we are."

Jin smiled widely, showing off his teeth. "You're right." He grabbed something from the floor. "Stay right here."
