"I'm pushing to make sure our school complies with Title IX so our girls' sports teams can get equal support and coverage!, along with that more money will be spent on extra curricular activities,
Please, vote for me!", I say trying to get as much support as I can before the debate,

Walking over towards Daniel and Parker, just as I go to speak, Brooke comes over and interrupts,
"Is that what you two are wearing?", she questions,
"Wearing for what?", Parker questions,
"The debate." I state, "and yes, as you know I believe in breaking the stereotypes and uniform is one of them", this earns as smile from Brooke as, Daniel quickly jumps in,
"What debate?"
"Have you ever seen an election without a debate?", Brooke questions incredulously, the smile on her face growing,
"Wait. Normally you'd be right. However, this is an emergency special election.", Alex jumps in trying to save Parker from his evident humiliation,
"Right.", Parker confirms,
"Exactly. There's no need for a debate, Brooke.", Daniel tries to finalise, though his tone is nervous,
"If I were you, I'd prepare my candidate on the issues, instead of wasting time arguing.", I jump in with a grin on my face, before walking off and pushing myself into more conversations.

Ringing Haley she answers but speaks in a whisper,
"Bea, I'm in class what do you want?",
"Oh sorry Hales, just wanted to talk to you before the debate. I'm a little nervous", is my sheepish reply,
"Wait, What debate?", she says confusion lasting her whisper,
"Did I not tell you, since Daniel can't be captain, myself, Sophie and Parker are running in a debate for the election", I tell her with a slight sadness, despite still seeing Haley we're not as close as we were before the greenhouse. That needs to change.
"Oh wow, good for you, look you'll do great but I really gotta go. Good luck!", she exclaims before I hear a faint,
"Haley get off your phone",
"Bye Haley" I respond before ending the call having gotten her into enough trouble already.

"Okay, guys! We're ready.", Tammy says gaining our attention, getting ready to go over I see Sophie approach Alex and decide to eavesdrop,
"Even though you're Parker's advisor, your vote is your own.", after hearing that I ignore their conversation until Sophie leaves before I approach Alex,
"Hey", I say,
"Ahh I wondered when you would come to beg for my vote", he grins,
We share a laugh before I say,
"Joking aside if you don't vote for me I am disowning you as my brother", I say my voice deadly serious, before we smile and begin to make our way to the 'stage' that the debate is being held on.

Walking towards the stage I overhear Daniel speak to Parker,
"If you get stuck, I have the ultimate comeback. It's something no one knows about Sophie or Bea.", a sense of unease overcomes me before I shrug it off and step onto the stage behind my podium, earning a few laughs as I stand between both Parker and Sophie who are wearing their uniforms.

Tammy steps onto stage,
"Welcome to the official captains' debate.
The first question is, "Why are you qualified to be our new captain?"", Sophie answers first,
"As a female candidate, I have a fresh point of view that the Greenhouse lacks.
The world is changing as more women are becoming leaders.
And the Greenhouse needs to keep up with the times!", pretty good, this earns some cheers from our Eagle filled audience,
"I'm not a talker. I'm a doer.", Parker retaliates earning some claps before I interrupt,
"Okay, so, uh, tell us what you've done."
"Well, I've spent a great amount of time next to Daniel, and, um, I've learned everything he knows.", Parker says and it's clear to me that Daniel has told Parker exactly what to say,
"Okay, so that makes you what? A great sidekick?", Sophie snaps back,
"I can lead, I'm one of the top players on our basketball team.", Parker tries again,
"Yeah, so I am I, but basketball has nothing to do with leadership, so please enlighten us, what exactly are you going to bring to the greenhouse because Parker we need a leader not just a basketball guy. I plan to push forward more environmentally friendly and vegan safety precautions, along with this I hope to encourage more student activism and to spend equal and increasing amounts of money on all extra curricular activities", it's then Sophie jumps back in,
"What's your agenda Parker?",
"Now, hold on a minute! Hold on a minute! How can any of you trust Sophie's promises when she has a reputation of being a liar? I happen to have proof that Sophie originally applied to be a Raven.
Open your Louies, please. Observe.
Now, maybe I don't speak as fancy as Sophie does, but at least I'm honest, and as for Bea, she can't be a leader, she is mentally unstable and has a criminal record, how can you trust someone like that to lead you", Parker exposes,
"Yeah he's kind off right, I did have a problem with myself when I suffered from severe anorexia, depression and still now from anxiety, but I don't let any of that stop me from doing what I want in life. As for the criminal record, I'm sure a lot of us have something in the past we're not proud of, when I was at a bad time I met some people who I thought were there for me but instead they used me as a scapegoat for crimes that they committed. So yeah my past isn't great but my past also doesn't define me and at least if I was captain you could trust I wouldn't publicly expose you", I aim the last part at Parker, as my eyes become watery at the obvious betrayal from both Parker and Daniel, Brooke notices and pulls me into a hug.
