Physics was boring. Extremely boring. Extremely excruciatingly boring.

I had already received my schedule from reception and was now currently sat in the far left corner, directly next to the window.

I peered out of it, observing the outside. It was rather sunny with a few clouds in the sky, something you don't generally get from the U.K. I suppose that's an advantage and definitely a contrast from cold rainy weather.

"Miss Harris."

I jumped, my head snapped around to face the speaker. It was my teacher, a short lady with brown hair in loose bun.

"Uhh..." I trailed off, focusing on the board behind her.

A diagram of a simple gravity pendulum was scrawled onto the whiteboard.

The creaking of chairs was heard as many students turned around to see my panicked expression.

I took a deep breath and blinked a couple of times, coming to my senses. "Uh... Mass cancels out, so it's just gravity times sine." I answered, rubbing the back of my head sheepishly.

Miss Warren nodded. "That is correct. Next time please pay attention as you might miss something important." She scolded.

"Yes, miss." I awkwardly replied, my face flushing slight red from the students laughter.

Peter turned around and gave me a sympathetic smile. He sat two rows in front of me.

Flash caught his gaze and snorted. "Look everybody, Penis Parker is trying to flirt with the new girl." He exclaimed, resulting into the room erupting into laughter once again.

Peter's face flushed bright red as I looked down at my desk awkwardly. What an asshole.

"Flash, please refrain from creating gossip and do not interrupt again." The teacher jumped in, glaring at the cocky boy.

He huffed before the room eventually fell silent once more.

As she continued her blabbering, my eyes wandered over towards the clock at the back of the wall.

11:38am.

It was now Chemistry with Mr Cobbwell. This was pretty much the only lesson I was sat next to Peter.

"Today we'll be talking about Danish physicist Niels Bohr, but trust me, there is nothing Bohr-ing about his discoveries regarding quantum theory." The old teacher rambled on as we all placed on our safety goggles, securing them tightly onto our faces.

I shook my head, cringing at this teachers attempt to be hip with the kids.

As he wrote down notes onto the board, I picked up my pencil and twirled it about in my hands before I scribbled down the notes.

I couldn't help but notice in my peripheral vision that Peter ignoring the teacher, instead he was looking into his notebook.

He then opened up his desk draw discreetly and was mixing something. I couldn't quite see but I shrugged it off as him just playing around.

"Has everybody got it down?" The teacher asked a couple of minutes later, earning a few nods from my classmates. "Great. Now let's move on."

Peter shot his head back up as he noticed the notes being scrubbed off, his face sunk in realisation.

I nudged his arm. "You can copy mine." I whispered as I pushed my book over towards him.

"Thanks." He smiled as he rushed himself to get it down as quick as he could.

After an hour had passed, the bell had finally rang signalling lunch.

"Don't forget you guys have homework, I want an entire page about quantum theory."

The entire class let out a groan to which the teacher ignored in response. I made a quick note of it inside my planner before I stood up, clutching my textbooks tightly to my chest.

It was strange having lockers as in my old school, we just had to carry everything around the place. It was more effort though to be fair.

As everybody packed up, we were then dismissed so that we could go for lunch. I made a beeline straight for my locker so I could put some stuff away.

I fiddled with the dial, trying to input my combination but failing each time. "Oh for flip sake." I mumbled to myself frustratedly.

"Hey, Olivia? Need some help?" Peter called from behind me as he walked over next to me, watching me struggle.

"Yes please, if you wouldn't mind." I chuckled awkwardly as I stepped out of the way letting Peter pass through.

I told him my combination to which it took him a couple of clicks, resulting into my locker opening up swiftly.

"Thanks." I smiled at him as I put away my textbooks and opened up my purse to take a couple of dollars out for lunch.

"You could, uh, sit with me and Ned if you want. That's if you don't already have somebody to sit with because you know I wouldn't want to intrude on that-"

"Yes, I would love to, Peter." I interrupted his rambling to which he let out a nervous grin.

"That's great, I'll meet you in the cafeteria." He nodded as he waved before he turned around and walked off. I saw him mentally cringe at his actions.

I chuckled to myself. Even though I had only met him on the bus, I could definitely see myself getting along with him.

As I shut my locker door, I made my way towards the vending machine next to the cafeteria door.

I inserted my my bill before inputting the code for the ham and cheese sandwich and for the water.

Two thuds were heard inside the machine, I placed my hand inside and pulled my sandwich and water out.

Afterwards, I then opened up the cafeteria doors and gazed around.
