I waited at the base for three weeks.

Three weeks since Sasori's death. Three weeks of waiting for his informant to return. Three weeks listening to Deidara curse everything because of the loss of limbs. Three weeks that could have been used to search for Itachi.

Deidara won't say anything. Well, he can't. He doesn't know where he is. And he hates him with a passion for some reason.

Yesterday I met another Akatsuki member. A man named Kakuzu. He immediately tried to kill me only for Deidara to stop him and explain that I was Sasori's protege and now his.

Kakuzu is a strange man, that's for sure. Incredibly creepy. But he came to replace one of Deidara's arms and fix the other one. He left later only casting me one last glance before leaving.

Real talker that one.

Well, I suppose I'm doing better than the others. Haru had sent me a message this morning saying they had a run in with my team.

I knew they would. Sasori told me. But I wanted them to. I wanted to see if they could instill the idea of returning home to Sasuke.

Afterall, Orochimaru is dead. It was his own fault. He thought he could trick us by taking over Sasuke's body earlier than anticipated. Four months earlier.

His mistake was telling Haru the truth.

But from what Haru told me, Sasuke hasn't changed his mind. Nothing has changed in the least.

I sighed and focused back to my training. It's become natural adding puppets to my regimen.

Most of my days consists of training honestly. Even more so because I've expanded my knowledge in different fighting styles.

Taijutsu, Ninjutsu, bukijutsu, Fuinjutsu with special attention to to the Kenjutsu in it, and kinjutsu. As usual, I suck at Genjutsu and have no talent whatsoever in Medical Ninjutsu. I want to learn Senjutsu though.

Sage Mode.

But that's not something I can learn by myself, at least not how I am right now. Even if I could, I wouldn't be able to train like I'd normally would.

The use of Senjutsu uses nature chakra. And you have to gather that. Which means I'd have to meditate and remain still for long periods of times. And I would require a large amount of chakra to even be able to attempt it.

I'm pretty confident in that though. I don't have nearly as much as Naruto, but I do have higher levels then most ninja.

I'd love to learn it, but I'm not sure if I'd use it often on the account I'd have to stop and sit still to gather nature chakra before using it in battle.

But it's a powerful skill that would come in handy if I needed it.

"It's fine to want to get stronger. But you need to master these as you go so they actually come in handy." Sasori's words came to mind. I do need to get stronger, and fast, but he's right. These puppets won't be any use to me if I can't use them to the fullest extent.

Sage Mode will have to wait.

I smiled, thanking Sasori again, before continuing with my work on the puppets, making them clash with one another.
