Harvey had always been attracted to Donna. That wasn't in question. That had nothing to do with what had been plaguing him this past week.
I'm human.
She was obviously a person. She was capable of making mistakes,he'd saved her a few times from errors in judgement. For some reason the words had sent him reeling. He was looking for evidence now. Little human things in Donna.
I'm human.
Hair messed up in the morning.
I'm human.
Tripping on the sidewalk.
I'm human.
Coffee dripping on her desk. The evidence was everywhere. How had he never seen it? Easy. She'd made sure he'd never seen it. He'd never been very forgiving of humanity. She knew it. But her humanity...it was...heartstopping. It was as glorious as the woman herself.
"What's got you so happy?" Samantha walked into his office.
"Knocking is common courtesy." He said in annoyance.
"We both know I'm not common," she smirked. "How's the case going?"
He stood, ego firmly in place.
"You do realize you're speaking to Harvey Specter right?"
She rolled her eyes as Donna walked in. His heart fluttered. He ran his eyes over her figure, looking for a flaw, but not finding one. "Samantha." She nodded to the blonde.
"I'll just..." Samantha exited like a pro.
Donna turned to him with classic smirk.
"I really hope your case is well in hand, because it's been a week. Things have finally calmed down here, and all I want is you on my couch with a glass of wine...what?"
He'd found it. He'd found the flaw. This was better than closing a major client. There was a coffee stain on her dress, and it tickled him.
"What?"
"I like how human you are," he smirked and shrugged.
She smiled and blushed.
"Is that a 'yes' to the wine?"
"Donna, don't ask questions you already know the answer to," he reached for he waist and pulled her flush against him.
"Harvey!"
He kissed her. Hard and with every ounce of love he possessed. When he pulled back, her eyes were dark with desire.
"I didn't know you liked wine so much," she whispered breathlessly.
