I find myself now laying on my bed. My thoughts are a in a relentless scramble.

For roughly two hours I have attempted to search the internet for any information on my biological parents, but there is no information about them.

I have scrolled through the endless accounts on Facebook, Instagram and even Twitter. Yet there is nothing.

Hence I flip to another tab and scroll through fanart for Marvel.

I couldn't help but smile at all the joyous creations that artists have made for this fandom. Each portrays the characters in a new light.

Then I hear a faint knock on the door to my room, and a high pitched whine paired with a few curse words.

"Who is it?" I call out, but I already knew who it was.

"Levi, and these two mongrels." He replies.

At that, I close my laptop, "You can come in, Levi." I respond.

He slowly opens the door and scoots Ollie out of the way.

And in the hall, I see Millie's tail wagging. Like her small flag is flailing in the wind.

"Thais. Look, we need to discuss of what you will do, and how much time you need." Levi states, his features are still, but a spark flares in his eyes.

I pause for a moment. Thinking of what I should say, but I don't know where to begin.

So I say, "I'm not sure, but I will need some more time."

Levi remains silent; allowing me to contine.

"Maybe until dad comes back from his business trip." I find myself offering.

I feel a sinking feeling in my chest as soon as I finish that sentence.

I feel the bed bend as Levi sits on the edge the purple quilt. "That works. Just take as much time as you need Thais, and just now that Erwin and I are here for you."

My lips quirk upward, "Thank you. And I do have a question." I state.

"Shoot." He replies.

"What do you think of this," I gesture with my hand in a circular motion. "Just all of this?"

His mouth forms into a thin line. "Look kid, I didn't know what to expect after I married your father." Levi starts.

I nod, "I'm sure. It's like surprise, there's a kid, and two dogs."

"Uh, yeah, from that previous marriage to seeAshley."

I feel my shoulders tense, "I hate her."

"But that doesn't matter now." Levi answers.

I smile and pick up my phone. It reads 10:00 PM.

"It is time for you to go to bed." Levi inserts.

I sigh. "Yes, Levi."

I watch him stand and wave to me, "Night, brat." He closes the room behind himself.

I bundle myself under the quilt and close my eyes.

Ashley. That is a name that is never spoken in this household.

That is dad's rule, and when I use to ask why, he said that she did terrible things to us.

Those things, I don't really remember.

My last memory of her, is her coming home almost blackout drunk.

She quickly grew angry of my wails, and tightly wrapped me in a blanket. Then she shoved me into an unforgiving closet.

Dad came home the next day, and we left.

That was the end of it.
