Ron's POV

As I saw Malfoy walking into the Great Hall I gave him a small smile as he sat down and turned my attention on Dumbledore who had just stood. "Welcome first years and welcome back second years and above," he paused and looked around with a smile. "Firstly, say hello to your new defense teacher, Professor Umbridge," she stood and waved to everyone but she wasn't applauded. "Sit down, Dolores, no one wants to hear from you," he continued as she didn't take her seat. "Secondly, the Forbidden Forest is out of bounds to all students, it is still forbidden to our two tricksters who like breaking rules." He said casting a look to Fred and George who had smirks on their faces. "Tuck in."

"She looks like she's gonna try to kill me this year," Harry said with a small sigh.

"It's expected," I agreed earning me a hit from Hermione.

"We have something to tell you, 'Mione," he said slowly looking down at his stew.

"What?" She asked as she piled chips on her plate.

"Me and Ron we..." he trailed off and looked at me for some help.

"We're friends with benefits," I finished she looked at me and then at Harry with a raised eyebrow.

"As if it weren't noticeable, but I fully support you for whatever you are," she said as she ate her stew.

"I'm gay and Harry's, I don't know what he is," I said looking at him.

"I'm bi," he said simply as he ate some sausages.

"Well, I still support you because, well, I'm pan," she said simply, we looked at her and smiled with a little nod. We continued eating and walked up to Gryffindor tower, with me and Hermione leading the first years.

"Ok, the password is Bouillabaisse," Hermione said matter of factly as the Fat Lady swung open.

"Bless you," one of the first years said, I snickered but shut up once she hit me. We walked into the common room and instructed them on where the dorms were, we then went to our dorms and went to bed.

Draco's POV

I couldn't sleep, like usual, so I was up and walking around the castle. I thought I was alone until I heard feet shuffling in the direction I was walking in, I hid behind a suit of armor in case it was a teacher and watched as a flash of red hair walked past, Weasley. I scampered out from behind the suit of armor and called to him, it took five minutes for him to stop walking and turn towards me. "What? Where am I?" He asked in a confused daze, I sighed and nodded, he was sleep walking.

"You were sleep walking," I said simply walking over to him.

"Again?" He groaned under his breath, so he's slept walked before.

"I'm guessing," I said simply, he looked down then back up and cocked his head to the side.

"Why are you up?" He asked simply. "And why are you talking to me?"

"Firstly, I'm up because I couldn't sleep, secondly," I paused not really knowing how to answer the second question. "I don't know."

"Nice answer, would you like to walk with me?" He asked walking towards me, I nodded and walked with him in a comfortable silence for a few minutes before I decided to spark up a conversation.

"So, I notice your pajamas are a few inches short, how long have you had them?" I asked simply trying not to sound rude.

"I've had them since third year, I've grown over the years but we can't really afford much right now," he answered simply, I nodded and turned him in the direction of the Slytherin common room. "Where are you taking me?"

"To get you better pajamas, it gets cold in the winter and those simply won't keep you warm." I explained as we started our way down the stairs to the dungeons.

"Why are you being nice to me?" He asked as I held his sleepy figure up.

"I don't know, Weasley, it's like something's holding me to it," I answered simply earning a chuckle from him. "Think it's funny, do you?"

"A little," he replied as we reached the stone wall, I said the password while covering his ears and pulled him into it after making sure no one was up.

"Stay here and don't touch anything, I'll be back," I said simply making my way up to the dorms. When I opened the door a voice came from the far corner, Blaise, I slowly turned to him as he raised an eyebrow.

"Where have you been?" He asked simply pointing a light in my face.

"Walking, I couldn't sleep again," I said simply grabbing some pajamas from my trunk.

"What are you doing with those?" He asked again, I groaned and glared at him.

"None of your business, go to bed," I said walking out of the dorm. When I reached the spot I left Weasley in he was standing up but his eyes were closed and I could hear soft snores. "Weasel."

"Oh, sorry, I must've fallen asleep," he said simply, I chuckled and nodded.

"You could definitely pass as a cat if you did that again," I said earning a chuckle from him, we walked out of the common room in another comfortable silence before he spoke.

"Can we call this off? This whole enemy thing?" He asked softly as he rubbed his arm.

"Yeah, of course, but why?" I asked looking at him, he was a bit taller than me so I only had to lift my eyes to look into his eyes.

"I don't know, but just walking with you just made me feel differently about you," he said, I smirked this would be perfect for a little joke.

"Don't tell me you're into dudes," I said with a small chuckle, he cleared his throat and looked down. "Are you?"

"No, I'm all the way straight," he said with a chuckle I smirked as we reached the Gryffindor portrait, he covered my ears and said the password.

"Alright, here, they're green but I think they'd suit you," I said handing off the pajamas that were way too big for me, Mother brought them for me incase I grew over the year but I knew that wouldn't happen.

"Thank you, Draco, and can you also be civil towards Harry and Hermione? The only exception for you to be rude is in the corridors and around people to uphold your reputation." He asked simply, I smiled and nodded, if it were for him I'd do it.

"Of course, now go get some sleep," I said patting his shoulder, he nodded and walked into the common room giving me a small smile as the portrait closed. I walked back to the Slytherin common room, said the password and climbed up to the dormitory, maybe this wouldn't be so bad.

Why do I care about him? Why did I accept the friendship? I thought as I fell asleep.
