CHAPTER ONE
-Echelor Altrinas-
I WAS standing in front of my new classroom as a secondary student. As usual, pag unang araw ng pasukan, marami ka talagang nakikitang bagong mukha. Transferees and a freshmen. At tulad din ng karaniwang mararamdaman ng mga baguhan, di talaga maiwasang di mahiya at kabahan.
Maraming freshmen ang nakikipag siksikan sa bulletin board para hanapin rin nag mga pangalan nila. Pagkatapos ng matinding pakikipagsikuhan ay nalaman ko na rin kung saan ang classroom ko.
Sobrang saya ko nung nakita ko na kaklase ko rin pala ang pinsan kong lalaki.
“Nauna kapa sakin ah! Di mo man lang ako sinabihan na magkaklase pala tayo!” pagmamaktol ko at tumabi ng upo sa kanya.
“Akala ko kasi bukas kapa papasok! Ugaling ugali mo yan eh!” sarkastikong sagot ni Lion sakin.
Panay ang pangungulit ko at pang aasar twing may babaeng panay ang tingin sa kanya. Di talaga maiwasang di mapatingin dito sa pinsan ko.
Lion is more inches taller than me, he has this natural blonde hair, pointed nose, long curl eyelashes, thick eyebrows, and a brown irises na nagmana sa Mama niya, si Tita Yna. His eyes is the first thing that would capture your attention. He has this fair skin, fairer than mine, na kapag naiinitan ay imbes na umitim ay namumula lang ito. He is one example of a tall, white, and damn handsome. It runs in our blood, because we are ¼ Spanish. He is also a short tempered guy, easy to find trouble, well just like me, but somehow, friendly. He is a good example of a bad boy.
While me, maybe I am 5'3 in height a normal height for girls. I have a curves in a right places, I have a natural curly hair with a little shade of blonde, I have a sharp Hazel nut eyes, long curl eyelashes and a thick eyebrows that made me look so strict and snobbish. They also said that my natural thick eyebrows is the first thing that captured their attention. I maybe looked so snob, but I'm a friendly one. I am a girl version of Lion.
“Kanina pa pabalik balik ang tingin sayo nung transferee insan. ” bulong ko sa kanya habang nakaupo kami sa baluster sa harap ng classroom namin. Inirapan lang ako nito at ngumisi. At sa itsura nya ngayon, alam ko nang may plano yan, tsk! What a chic boy.
Isang linggo na ang nakalipas at usong uso talaga ang sinasabi nilang ‘Paper mate’, dahil wala pa naman akong cellphone kaya nakisabay narin ako.
My new classmate, Gemma brought a paper and gave it to me. She has this kinikilig smile that plastered in her lips.
“What's this?” I curiously asked her but she beam at me and almost shout. Tanga lang.
“Basahin mo kasi, diko rin alam ano yan. Binigay lang yan sakin, para daw sayo.” nakangiting sagot nito sa kin.
It is a simple paper that folded plainly. It has a smiling emoji in the front page. With knotted eyebrows, I opened the note and unconsciously read the letter written so manly.
‘Hi, smile before you read this.’ that's the first line I've read.
My face remained serious and still, my eyebrows knotted. Pinagpatuloy ko ang pagbabasa, not minding Gemma's presence. Well, I don't care if she want to read to.
