Elizabeth's P.O.V.
Sitting on my bed, I rested my chin on the palm of my hand, and I gazed out the window.
After earlier, after witnessing my sister wrongfully restrained and almost dying, I couldn't bring myself to go on with my day. I couldn't act normal and unaffected, when those things weren't at all the case.
I remembered... I remembered the day we first met. I was four, and she was eight, and though she was twice my age at the time, it didn't feel as though we were that far apart. My dad brought her home with a beaming smile. I knew that smile. It was a proud one. He must had already known then that Karin was supposed to be part of our family, and she was the missing link, the glue that would keep us together. He must had known how much I would need her and how much she would need us.
If he were here now...
I blinked a couple of times as a butterfly greeted me, landing gracefully on the window in front of my face. Distracted by the specimen and its beautiful vibrant wings, I smiled, tilting my head to the side.
"It must be nice to have beautiful wings like yours," I voiced. "I know you probably don't understand me... I don't speak 'butterfly' like my sister does. If Karin were here, she would be able to translate." I smiled, thinking about her. "She's beautiful too, inside and out. She is also vibrant. Just as your wings seem to glow, there's a light within Karin. I can see it, that light, whenever she would smile."
I placed my hand on my side of the window, next to the butterfly.
"Will you promise me to always keep your glow?"
The butterfly flapped its wings in response.
"I'll take that as a 'yes'!" I smiled. "Well said, little guy. Well said."

Karin's P.O.V.
"Karin?"
Elizabeth's soft velvety voice resonated through the room as she cracked my bedroom door open. Smiling, she approached me.
"Karin!" She silently squealed, pulling me into a hug so tight she fell onto the bed with me.
Chuckling, I held her tighter, rubbing my hand against her back.
"I stayed indoors waiting for you to come home tonight."
"Oh." I breathed.
She didn't do any of her usual activities, which mostly involved being in the commons area, the market place or playing in the meadows. She stayed inside specifically so she would see me first thing. How sweet. I was lucky to have a sister like Elizabeth.
We spent the rest of the night laying on the bed telling stories to each other until we fell asleep in each other's arms.

Her vibrant red hair, her golden eyes; her pale skin with a slight pink that gave colors to her cheeks...
I woke up, my first thoughts of her and her angelic features.

Satania's P.O.V.
Her wavy blond hair, her forest green eyes, her slightly pigmented skin...
I woke up, my thoughts immediately drifting to her- to the one person I had felt drawn to.
It was everything about her... this incredible woman who I was wondering how existed. But, more so, how did such a woman exist for so long without my awareness?!
I wanted to see her again. I needed to.
After her almost death, my protectiveness of her had grown stronger, and I came to the realization that I was drawn to her. I was drawn to and fascinated with a human that I barely knew. I knew nothing at all about her, except that she was beautiful- the most beautiful human that Mother Nature had graced us with.
