Karin's P.O.V.
I silently sobbed, my tears soaking my plain shirt, as my hands were deemed useless, chained to the pole behind me.
As people walked past me, their cruel and belittling voices echoed through my ears.
"Glad that beast is chained." A man connected his brows in anger. "We need to protect our children from these monsters!"
I lowered my small head and narrowed my eyes towards the dirt ground below me.
"M-monster..." I mumbled to myself, under my breath.
That word specifically had a wicked effect on me, for it's what I had grown up to know and associate with.

Elizabeth's P.O.V.
Present
Karin kneeled down to the purple hibiscus flower and gently touched one of the pedals. And, as if her touch was magic, the flower seemed to tilt up, facing her. My eyes dilated as I watched my sister in admiration.
"She's amazing," I thought.
Karin held a faint smile as she tilted her head, intrigued by the beauty the flower had possessed.
A few animals began to fill the environment, leaving the forest and joining us in the meadows.
I couldn't help but giggle as a rabbit jumped onto my leg and began rubbing its cheek against my stomach.
"Hi," I giggled, lifting my head to pet it. "Nice to meet you, Rabbit. I'm Elizabeth."
The rabbit just stared at me in response.
"You must like it out here, right? The open excluded space. It's one of the only areas secluded from the town, filled with absolute beauty. It feels majestic here."
Karin smiled at me as she walked towards us, the rabbit and I. Behind her, a couple of animals followed as if she were their master. It was quite compelling to see.
And, as soon as she approached us, the rabbit immediately jumped off of me and stared at her- stared at my sister. I watched in awe.
"I see..." Karin mumbled, staring at the rabbit, as if understanding the rabbit's inner emotions. I continued to watch their interaction. "You can't find your mommy. You feel lost. You're scared..."
The rabbit's... scared?
The rabbit's eyes looked dampened, its eyes reflecting that it was hurt and indeed feeling scared. How did I not notice those saddened eyes before?
The animals surrounding us sat nearby or stood, also intrigued by their interaction, or really, intrigued by her.
"You don't need to be afraid anymore... I'm here. I'll help you." The rabbit cuddled in Karin's lap, feeling comfort in it and her.
My sister was always like that.
She was always the kind of person that wanted to help others, specifically animals, for she understood them better than her own kind, the ones who wished for her death.
She had this special gift that allowed her to understand the animals- something I was always envious of- but it made her special. It just furthered my admiration for her.
Karin was... a blessing to this world.
