Chapter Twenty-Two: Daisy

I wake up snuggling into Jordon's chest and he's combing my hair with his fingers.
"Shit!" I say in panic. I search for my phone but I can't find it.
"What's wrong?" Jordon ask, while sitting up.
"I didn't tell my mum I was staying out all night!" I explain. He's face turns pale in fright. Jordon knows how scary my mum is when she's mad. She's not strict but if I mis obey she will make me wish I was never born.
"Where's my phone?"I ask him while searching under the bed.
"Let me call it" He says. He dials in my number and waits for it to ring. I hear the ringing but it's very quiet. I get dressed and put my hair up since it's coming from outside. Jordon follows me and we walk to the picnic area. We stop in place as we see a man sitting there with my phone in his hand.
"Hello, lupus pythonissam. Et nihil autem intuitus est rigescunt indutae!" Says the stranger. We freeze and are unable to move. He must be a warlock and must have casted a spell. I try to move and shake but I can't seem to brake free. "I'm Ace Agustino, I'm a warlock and you are cast in a freezing spell" Ace says in a grand voice. He smiles and waves his hands around. We can move now.
"Why are you here?" I ask.
"To protect you" He says. "I showed you my magic in order to show you that I am on your side" He explains.
"So witches and warlocks want to help me?" I ask.
"Yes, most at least. The magic kind, we raised the first baby. Which was hard since it was a super werewolf." Ace explains in further detail.
"How can we trust you?" Jordon asks Ace while walking closer to me.
"Because if you couldn't you would of been dead" Ace tells us.
"So it's that simple for you, freeze them then stab?" I ask.
"No, no. We can do big spells but it takes a lot of energy and strength. Plus there is always a loop pull. For example, freeze spell is putting you in a force field so...no I couldn't stab you, I couldn't even touch you." Ace informs us.
"Do you know a warlock, Luke Tinwell?" Jordon ask.
"Yes, he informed me about you" Ace says.
"Traitor!" Says Jordon angrily.
"No! He wants to help, he is a sworn protector"
"Is that why he moved here, he already knew?" I ask.
"Yes, that's why he was so happy to help you and your friends" Ace answers. I don't know to feel glad that he was there when needed or hurt since he knew this whole time what I was going through and didn't inform me. I asked him and he didn't even try to look into it since he already knew. Yet, let me believe that he was clueless.
"So it's true then?" I ask. "I'm the lupus pythonissam?"
"I'm afraid so" Ace confirms. I knew it had somewhat truth but now it's offical.
"Do you think you can look into who is trying to kill me?" I ask.
"Well, lots of people want to kill you but do you mean the people driving the car and attacking you?" He ask, braking down to detail.
"Yes, that's what I mean" I confirm.
"Yes, I can locate them and work my way from there" he explains. "Anymore questions?" He ask before handing me my phone and it has thirty missed calls from mum.
Shit!
"No that's all" I say. "Hey mum" I say all cheery.
"Hey mum? HEY MUM? WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN! I THOUGHT YOU WERE IN DANGER, YOU HAVE TO LET ME KNOW IF YOU STAYING OUT ALL NIGHT! GET HOME, RIGHT NOW!" She orders loudly through the phone.
"Okay, I'm going home right now" I say before hanging up. I sigh in annoyance.
"I will take you home" says Jordon.
"It was nice to meet you Ace, call us if you find anything else out" I say. He hands me his number and then hands it to Jordon too.
"Call if you ever need me" he says back.
"We will, thank you" I say. I hop in Jordon's car and the whole drive I think of an excuse to use.

He pulls up to my driveway and parks the car. We sit there in silence, I think he notices how nervous I am.
"You gonna be fine" he says while kissing my cheek.
"Thanks, love you" I say while kissing him.
"Love you too" He says back. I hop out the car and wave by as he leaves. I walk to my door and put my key in but the door swings open. The place is a mess, there are clothes everywhere.
"Mum!" I call out, being concerned. She walks out like a model looking all fancy.
"Yes dear" she says flicking her hair.
"The door was unlocked...is that my shoes?" I ask while pointing to the black high heels that she's wearing.
"Oh, I just got home and must of forgot to lock the door" she explains. I look around and then it clicks.
"You got a date?" I ask all excited.
"Don't be silly, WE have a important dinner with the Hemingtons" she informs me. I smile when i remember that I get to catch up with daisy today. We use to hangout out a lot even though she's two years older.
"Don't you think your dressing a little over top, there just our neighbors" I say.
"Well, dress to impress" she says while fixing her make up in the mirror. "Go get ready and look presentable!" She orders. I guess she forgot about me staying out all night. "The Hemingtons are going to drive us there, since I don't know where she lives" My mum explains to me.
"When are they getting here?" I ask.
"Around five thirty" She says. I look at the time and it's three o'clock. I walk up the stairs and in my room. I chuck my shoes off and let my hair down. I change into more comfortable clothes to lounge in. I open up my laptop and sit down on my bed.
"GORGEOUS!" Shouts Damon from his window. I look up with a smile and I roll my eyes at his shirt. It's a black shirt that says "money is nothing" with a dollar sign on it.
"Nice shirt, wearing it to the dinner?" I ask, making a joke.
"Maybe but we have more important matters to discuss" he says while climbing out his window. I watch as he carefully makes his way across the tree and into my room. He sits down next to me and leans in like he's ready for the gossip. I lean in too and give him the "idk face".
"What are you talking about" I ask. He rolls his eyes and drops his smile.
"Jordon and your get away" he ask. I smile at how girly he can be and I just smile and blush.
"Well he took me to a shack and he made a picnic, it was super romantic and it had an outdoor chandelier!" I say all impressed and amazed.
"What about you telling him you're a wolf" he ask.
"He took it really well, he didn't even flinch at the words" I say all cheering and bubbly.
"Wait did you spend the night there?" He ask.
"Yeah, why?" I ask a little worried.
"Joyce...your bubbly and technically glowing. YOU HAD SEX!" He says, he sounds angry at me.
"I know." I say a little quieter. He stands up and paces around the room. He puts his head in his hands and keeps pacing around my room. He looks and sounds so disappointed in me.
"How can you be so stupid" he says looking at me. He sits down at my desk and just death stares the floor.
"Stupid? How many people have you slept with?" I ask. He keeps staring at the ground and ignores my question.
"You are suppose to be-" he starts with but I cut him off.
"What? Smart? More careful?...I'm not sorry if I had a nice night out, something you probably do all the time" I say raising my voice a little while getting a bit mad.
"No, that's not what I was going to say" he says quietly still looking at the ground, as if in deep thought.
"What than?" I ask.
"SWEETIE YOU READY?" Yells my mum while walking in my room. She looks at Damon straight away and fixes herself up.
"Hey miss Tulic, I'm just going to leave. See you soon" he says while exiting the door.
"When did he come in?" She ask while trying to piece together what happened.
"Not long ago" I say.
