Damon's POV
"Joyce is a werewolf!" Says Ashlee as she tries to wrap her head around it. She has a look on her face like she just died. We give her some time to process what we just told her. She takes a deep breath in and out. She closes her eyes and when she opens them, it's like she rebooted herself.
"You okay?" Jordon asks, who is still sitting next to her on the bench. She looks at him and smiles.
"Yeah, I'm top-notch," she says. She clearly isn't but I don't wanna talk to these people about emotions. Their dead, they don't have any.
"I'm going to see if I can help in any way," I say making an excuse to leave.
"Okay, let me know if I can help too," says Jordon. I nod and start to make my way through the forest.Joyce's POV
I woke up standing over his body while covered in blood. The blood dripped from my mouth and onto my hands. Not all of it was his, I was wounded but quickly healing. I blacked out after I turned wolf, I can't seem to remember what happened. I notice I'm naked and cover my body behind an old-looking wooden desk.
"Joyce I opened the door" Calls out Max.
"Max, I'm naked," I tell him before he gets too close. I hear his footsteps stop and I hear his heart rate go faster. "No need to get flustered, I just need something to cover up with," I tell him.
"Right, of course, I will get that," he says awkwardly. He runs down the hallway and after a few seconds, he runs back up. "Use this blanket like a towel" he suggests. He chucks it around my feet. As I go to reach for it, I see him covering his eyes and he's turned around.
"Thank you," I say. I stand up and wrap it around me.
"All good," He says.
"You can turn around now," I tell him when I start to walk to the door. He peeps through a finger gap before uncovering his face completely. He follows behind me but when I look back I notice something. "How did you heal?" I ask him while pointing at what's supposed to be his wound.
"Oh, well while you were attacking the beast dude. I finished opening the door and thought I had time to heal myself" He explains. I look at him rather confused still.
"Why didn't you do that earlier?" I ask. He rubs the back of his neck and his pulse starts to race. I feel an unease in my stomach.
"Since I wasn't strong enough before but I healed a little so I had a little more power" he tries to explain. I can't help but feel like I'm being lied to.
"Right, my bad," I say. I don't believe him but if I want to get out, I have to pretend I do for now.The door we entered was just to another hallway. We notice four doors and a giant TV hanging from the roof. All the doors have red lights above them and the TV is off. As we walk more in we try each door but all were locked.
"Let's leave, I don't like the feeling of this room," I say while making my way to the exit. As I walk by the TV it turns on. The TV shows a room with a man in it, the man is holding a bloody axe. All the lights above the doors turn green and we hear sounds likes doors unlocking,
"Hi! Missed me?" Says the man through the speakers.
"Hardly," I say.
"You have a choice to make. You can enter room 1, that has an axe murder" he explains. The TV changes to a room with a pale girl sitting in the middle of the room."You can enter room 2, that has a vampire in it. Oh and a vampire that is very thirsty for blood" he tells us. The TV shows us an empty room with a door. "You can enter room 3, which has a normal door which will lead somewhere. But the catch is that when you open the door the young boy will be killed. A single shot to the brain" the man informs us, as he says that the TV shows us a young boy with tears rolling down his face, he's sitting in a chair and is being held at gunpoint. Lastly, the TV shows us a room full of blue flowers "or you can enter a room full of wolfsbane" He says. "Each room has a door that will lead you to your next test" at that note the TV turns off and it makes a horrible squeaking sound.
"We'll cross off room 3, definitely not room 1 or 2," I say to Max.
"Well then, it's room 4," he says, he sighs and walks to the door. I feel like the choice was too easy, I feel that unease feeling again in my stomach. As he goes for the handle I stop him by touching his hand. He looks at me and gives me a confused look.
"What's so bad about wolfsbane?" I ask him. He smiles at me and shrugs.
"I don't know, let's find out," he says. He opens the door and walks in fine. I don't wanna go in before I know it's safe. It seems to easy. He walks in the room and heads to the door on the other side. The smell from the room stings my nose a little.
"What if it poison?" I say scared to enter.
"Than we should hurry up and go through this door," he says like it's obvious.
"Open the other door" I order, he looks at me surprised.
"Why?" He asks a little concerned.
"I want to see where it goes," I tell him. He sighs and walks over to the door. He opens it and shows me a room with a window view. I smile at how close we are to home. Eager to leave I walk in the room and start to make my way to the door. Max is still standing there watching me make my way across the room.
"Qui facis ire cogitare et facere" Max says while waving his hands around. Just like that the wolfsbane flies at me and burns me. It's like being burnt alive again and again. I scream in pain and tears roll down my cheek as the pain is unbearable. I look at Max and he's just standing there with no guilt.
"Sorry Joyce, It's just business," he says like he's not torturing me.
