Chapter Twenty-Seven: Blood Lust

I wake up from loud music, coming from next door. I slowly open my eyes and sit up. I notice the music is coming from Damon's room. I walk over to my window and open up my curtains. Damon has his curtains closed, so i pull out my phone. I call him but it goes to voicemail, So I try again but straight to voicemail. I look at the time and it's seven in the morning. That boy better have a good reason. I throw on a grey hoodie and just keep my PJ shorts on. I walk downstairs and when I pass the kitchen I see my Mum. She has a cup of coffee and looks tired.
"That music woke you up too?" She ask me.
"Yeah, I'm heading over to tell him to turn it down" I tell her. She nods and takes a sip of her coffee. I walk out the front door and over to Damon's house. I knock on the door and wait a few seconds for a answer. But when i don't get one, I knock again. I wait again but this time he opens it.
"Are you deaf?" I ask him.
"Good morning to you too, gorgeous" He replies.
"Why is your music so goddamn loud!" I say. Not only am I annoyed but i'm tired. Only time I get up this early is on school days. It's SATURDAY!
"To get your attention" He says with a smirk. I roll my eyes at him and cross my arms. He points a little remote in the direction of where his room would be and clicks a button. The music stops and it's finally quiet.
"There are other ways to get me to come over" I tell him, still annoyed he woke me up.
"I knew you wouldn't wake up this early on a Saturday even if it meant winning a million dollars" He states, gesturing to my outfit. I roll my eyes at him and start to make my way to my house. He stops me by standing in front of me, Blocking my path.
"Move" I order him. "I want to sleep" I tell him.
"It's important" He tells me. I look at him and stare deeply into his soul, to tell if he's lying. I'm pretty sure he's being serious so I follow him to his room.

I see Ashlee and Jordon both in his room, they look pale and sick. Ashlee in on his bed hugging a pillow and Jordon is in a corner staring into space.
"What's wrong with them?" I ask him. I go to sit down next to Ashlee but Damon stops me. I look at him and he shakes his head no.
"I told you not to bring her" Jordon says. He gets mad and tries to stand up but is too weak.
"They're starving" He tells me. I never really thought about where they get their blood from. I know it's dangerous for me to be around them but all I want to do is be there for them.
"How do they get their blood usually?" I ask him. He shrugs his shoulders.
"I tried asking them but, they didn't tell me" Damon explains. He looks at me and sighs. "I was hoping they would tell you" He tells me. I walk over to Ashlee but I keep my distance. I smile and she smiles back.
"Hey, Ash" I greet.
"Hey, Joy" she replies back.
"Where do you get your blood supply?" I ask her" She looks at Jordon and back at me. Jordon nods yes in her direction.
she leans in close to me and Damon takes a step closer, worried.
"I have to whisper it" She tells me. She looks at Damon and glares.
"Damon, I will be fine" I tell him.
"Okay, gorgeous" He says back. I knee down so I'm the same height, so it's easier to whisper in my ear. Ashlee leans in and I can hear her heavy breathing.
"It's from the town hospital blood supply, get us some blood bags" She tells me. I nod yes and get up.

Damon offered me a ride but I told him he couldn't come. I get why they are so protective about where they get their source from. If a werewolf knew, they would drain it making them weak. I was determined to get the blood but I wasn't sure how. I don't know if i steal it or if they have a guy. So I pull out my phone and ring Damon.
"Hey, Gorgeous" He says all chirpy.
"Damon can you put Ash on the phone" I ask him.
"Yep, just one second" He says.
"Hey, Ash speaking" I hear Ashlee say. her voice is low and sounds sick. I can hear her heavy breathing again.
"Hey, how do I get the blood. Steal it or is there a trick?" I ask her, as I pull up in the parking lot.
"You have to steal them, be stealthy" She says. She coughs and it sounds painful. I hear some shuffling in the background.
"Hey, gorgeous. please be quick, their getting worse" Damon says. I hang up the phone and make my way to the reception.

Damon's POV
Ashlee just coughed up blood and it's black. I don't know what happens to vampires without blood but it's definitely not good. I gave her some tissues and some water. I look at Jordon who is staring out my window into Joyce's room.
"You all good?" I ask him. I'm like their nurse. The worst part is I'm helping vampires. I guess their starting to grow on me. Jordon looks at me slowly and rolls his eyes. I take that as a yes and look back Ashlee. She's gone! I run downstairs looking in every room for her. But than I see the front door wide open.
