I hugged Jason for what seemed like the hundredth time. Today was the day he had to serve his ninety days, and while that was a lot less than it could've been I would miss him terribly.
"I love you baby, I'll be back home with you in no time. Just go to school and be safe, okay?"
I nodded as a few tears spilled down my cheeks. Jason instantly collected me in his arms once again and kissed my forehead. "I love you Jason," I whimpered on his chest.
"I love you too Parks, so much," his grip on me tightened before he said, "Okay I have to head in. I will see you right back here in just ninety days."
I watched hopelessly as he ran up the many stairs and into the depressing looking building. He gave one final goodbye wave before walking through the doors.
Beginning the four mile walk home, I decided to give Skylar a call.
"Hey P," she chirped through the phone.
"Hey, I was wondering if you wanted to spend the night. I just dropped Jason off," I stated solemnly.
"Absolutely! I'll be right over," she said excitedly as she hung up.
I smiled and put my phone in my pocket, hurrying the rest of the way back home. When I walked up to our driveway, Skylar, was already parked there.
"Jeez took you long enough, I could've just picked you up!" she said as she hopped out of her car.
"No it's okay really I needed to clear my head."
"What's your deal anyway, you're almost eighteen and you don't have your license," she teased.
I laughed and unlocked the front door. "I have my permit, I just never got around to testing for my license."
"Well that is one thing we will do in our ninety days together," she smiled.
Skylar began digging through the multiple take out menus Jason and I had on the coffee table. "What about Thai?" she asked flipping through the blue paper.
I nodded before running up to our room to change clothes. Jason's clothes were strewn everywhere and his soap scent still lingered throughout the room. I bit my lip to hold back the tears that were threatening to spill over.
"He's not even gone a day and you're already crying, come on hon get changed," Skylar stated rubbing my back.
I sniffled and nodded, walking to my dresser. Grabbing Jason's shirt and a pair of his boxers and slipped them on. you
"Let's go order the food."
...
I sat in my Anatomy class writing down every single note my teacher had on the board. I had to do good on this test so I could pull my grade up to a B. My grades were increasing drastically, enough so for me to be able to graduate this year.
Thankfully, the bell rang and I jumped up to head to my next class.
"Watch where you're going you waste of space, Ryan growled as he hit his shoulder with mine.
I curled my fingers into my palms, pinching them bloody no doubt. "I've never done anything to you or your asshole friends. The fact that you feel the need to intrude and ruin my life is pathetic," I huffed at him nastily. He simply rolled his eyes at me and nudged my shoulder. "Go to hell," I spat in his face before continuing to my next class.
Ninety more days. I just had to endure this for ninety more days, and then the love of my life comes back to me.
