Y'all seem to like Beyoncé's point of view, so I'll continue doing that🤠

"I love this color on you." I said to my client as I curled her hair. I had recently dyed her hair a beautiful ash blonde color and she had just came back to me today so I could install it for her.
I had the rest of the week off work, which I hated, but it gave me more time to fit clients in and make extra money. This was my third sew-in for today and thank God it was my last one.
"I love it too, thank you so much." The woman said.
"You're welcome."
"Your place is nice as well! Do you stay alone?" She asked. I chuckled. It never fails for my clients to start asking me questions to get all in my business. I never had an issue with that because I knew when and when not to speak.
I be knowing everyone's business without even asking, it's crazy.
"Just me and my daughter." I said as I chewed on the gum. I removed the curling iron from her hair and sat it down.
"Oh, girl! I didn't even know you had a baby. You look so young."
I laughed, "People tell me that all the time. I look like a baby without makeup. but I'm 24. I'll be 25 in two weeks actually."
"I know that's exciting. What you have planned?"
"Nothing," I said with a shrug, "Usually, my mother in law throw me a little dinner or something, but me and her son aren't on good terms right now so I may not get that."
I knew right then that I was talking too much so I shifted the conversation. I didn't even know her so I continued doing her hair while she talked about her life situations.
Thirty minutes passed by and I was finally done. "It'll be $75." I said as I turned off all of my equipment.
"Okay, you accept only cash right?"
"If you have the exact amount in cash, I'll take it. If not, you can always cash app it to me."
"Okay, I'll do that!" She said. I gave her my cash app name and waited until I got the notification before letting her leave. People will really fake like they sent the money and walk off. That happened to me once before and I refuse to let it happen again.
After she left, I started to clean up. Cori was with Jay's mom so that's one less thing I had to worry about. I still had to pick her up though.
I was about to hop in the shower when I heard my cell phone ringing. Naked as ever, I looked down at the caller ID and was surprised to see Cameron name. I didn't think I would ever see or talk to him again, because I definitely wasn't going to call him.
"Yes?" I answered, leaning against the doorway of the bathroom.
"Hey..." He said lowly, "You busy?"
"About to shower, what is it?"
He sighed, "You probably not trying to hear it from me, but I wanna talk to you. Shit went left last time I saw you and I just want to apologize to you face to face."
I stepped out of the bathroom to look at the clock near my bed. It was a little after 3 and I had nothing else to do besides picking my daughter up.
"You can stop by."
"Okay, I'll be there in the next twenty minutes."
I nodded and ended the call. While I was in the shower, I thought about how this conversation would go. I knew I was pretty much in the wrong for even lying to him when I should've told him the truth about my baby's father just popping up, but he was wrong too. He made things more than what it was when Jay and I wasn't even doing anything.
