"I'm going and there is nothing you can do about it! I have to give orders, and if I'm not there I won't be able to protect you. Please understand Inko,"  His father Hisashi Midoriya yelled at his mother from downstairs, a 7-year-old Midoriya wrapped his covers around himself tighter trying to hold in the tears threatening to fall. He hated it when they fought, it scared him.

"I don't care if they try to kill us, we can run. Let's leave this country, go over to Europe they'll never find us there. We can run away from this life."  Inko Midoriya replied in a scarily calm tone.

"You don't understand. I'm leaving Inko, goodbye." His father muttered in an equally calm voice.

With that Midoriya heard the front door close. Now that they had stopped fighting Midoriya was filled with curiosity, where had his dad gone?

Inko Midoriya was standing in the kitchen looking at a wall as if it was the most important thing on earth. Tears rolled down her face but she didn't move to wipe them away. As if she awoke from a daydream she wiped the tears away quickly. She turned as if heading upstairs only to see Midoriya watching from the stair-well

"What's wrong mummy? He asked innocently cocking his head to the side.

Inko sighed before replying quickly with a warm smile "Oh, Izuku honey it's nothing! Don't worry about me, I always get worked up about the silliest things"

"Where's daddy?" the aforementioned asked as they headed upstairs towards his room.

"He's with some hero-" Inko

"Dads a hero!?! Wow! When I grow up I want to be just like him! Midoryia giggled while getting tucked into bed.

Inko could only watch silently as her sons head was filled with unreachable dreams. She turned off the light and with one last sigh, returned to her room.

Hisashi Midoriya returned home the next evening, his face unshaved and covered with cuts and bruises, as soon as Inko saw him she rushed forward and lead him upstairs to their bedroom while Midoriya sat downstair eating dinner. A few minutes later he came downstairs to talk to him.

"Daddy you didn't tell me you were a hero," Midoriya said quietly.

"I'm sorry little man, I was going to tell you soon," Hisashi replied bending down to his level as he looked sadly at his son. "Izuku... I-I'm going away for a while. I'll come back but, I have some work to do with heroes I need to finish first."

"You won't be gone long daddy... will you... A-are you meeting All Might?" The aforementioned gasped.

"I am going to see All Might, but it's to do with work so I cannot tell you much, but I'll be as quick as I possibly can." Hisashi stood up wiping his hands on his jeans.

"Tell All Might about me OKAY!" Midoriya yelled excitedly turning back to eating his udon.

Little did he know he wouldn't see his father again, at least not for a long time.
