Last night I couldn't sleep.

No matter how hard I tried my mind continued to race all throughout the night and as the birds begin to sing and blue hues of the sunrise glisten throughout the room, I slowly become more and more positive that rest won't come any time soon.

Isabelle and Edith are due to enter any moment now and I can't wait to see their faces once they realize I'm wide awake.

Ha!

Even I never thought I'd see the day.

Seemingly on cue the blonde and brunette enter the room quietly, but neither spares me a glance as they aggressively whisper to one another.

"I'll draw the bath and you wake her." Edith murmurs softly.

The usually cooperative blonde's brows narrow and she huffs throwing her hands on her hips.

"I don't think so, missy. We agreed last time that I would draw the next bath and you would wake her."

My jaw drops.

I am not that awful of a sleeper

...right?

"Well one of us has to do it, the queen wants everyone at breakfast by nine!"

"Well then I suggest you move quickly or else we'll all be late."

The two continue to bicker carelessly until I finally decide to reveal myself. I may not be the most graceful sleeper but I'm certainly not the worst.

"Luckily for you two I'm already awake." I grin.

The once oblivious lady's freeze, flushing shamefully as they finally face me.

"L-Lady Adeleine! Forgive us, it's not what it seems." Edith hurriedly apologizes.

I laugh.

"No, it's exactly as it seems and I don't blame you."

Their expressions turn with confusion, obviously not receiving the berating they expected.

"I would never take something so minuscule personally. In fact, what if I told you my sister were an even worse sleeper than myself?"

"Dear god." Edith gasps and we all fall into a fit of uncontrollable laughter.

"Dear god is right! She's even clobbered me once or twice, so I can only imagine how overwhelmed you all must be."

The ladies smile.

"Wow, thank you for being so understanding Adele." Isabelle grins.

I shrug.
