"CRIMSON! No, please! You can't die! Not now!" Sam sobs, hugging his computer screen in fear. The fear in my soul still resides from earlier, but now... now it's even worse.
We're next.
I lean over Sam's shoulder just in time to see Crimson turn into dust. I try to give him a hug in comfort, but he bats away my hand.
"Emma. We're going down to the True Lab." He states, the last of his emotions now drained.
"I'm finishing...your body."
"Sam, wait, you know that-" I laugh nervously, before being cut off.
"I'm aware, but I think this qualifies as an emergency, Emma!" He yells, as we step into the lift and decend to Parts and Service. Stepping out again, I realise that he's already started modifying my body beforehand. It was only after Crimson died that he gained the determination to complete it...
I see Sam pick up the blueprints and marker from the floor, stare at the plans for a second, and shake his head in pity.
"These won't do. We need better than this." He growls, adding some modifications to the design with the marker. I lean over to see the plans, and see that he's crossed out "NEO" and replaced it with "HER".
"But Sam, we don't have time for this! Just finish up the NEO mods, the human is probably nearly in Holtland already! We need to evacuate everyone, remember?" I try to convince, and Sam looks up at me, tears in his eyes, shaking his head.
"You need this body...please...you won't stand a chance otherwise."
"How do you know that? Emmaton NEO is supposed to be a human eradicator!"
"I-I don't know. It's some kind of weird deja vu. What I do know is that if you fight the human with your NEO form...you'll die. Just please, let me make the modifications."
"Okay...I'll go evacuate everyone, and try to buy you as much time as possible."

I float back to the lab just in time to see the human walking through the door. I don't know why, but when I look at them...it feels like I've just seen an old friend for the first time.
But this is no time for nostalgia.
"Emma? You're out of your body...that's no fun at all. I guess I'll have to wait to kill you. Where's the scientist?" They laugh, a glint of malice in their eyes. I stand my ground, and growl.
"Eheheh... I've seen all the possible endings, Emma. In each one, you've failed to stop me. So why do you think you'll be able to stop me now?"
"Your choices don't matter! Only ours do! And we choose to destroy you...you...you don't even deserve to be called human!" I respond, visibly quivering.
I won't be able to stall them forever.
"You're the non-human here, Emma. Why do you pretend to be these monsters' friends? Face it...you were going to kill them yourself one day." They grin, and I shake my head.
"What? I would never kill my own friends! Unlike you..."
"Anyway, I grown tired of talking. I have some monsters to kill." They smile, slashing through me with their knife as they walk by.
"There's nobody left out there. We already evacuated them all." I smile, telling a white lie. Most of the monsters wanted to take their final stand. The ones that were evacuated are with Sam right now, helping him whichever way they can to complete Project HER.
