"Subject 3, will you please stop struggling! My job will be a lot easier if you stop moving!" A man growled, his face obscured from view. He pushed a pair of glasses up his face, observing the struggling monster before him.

If this experiement went according to plan, monsterkind would be one step closer to freedom. No human had fell in the past 8 years, and the people were getting desperate. He wanted to spare Asgore the pain of killing any more humans, and this seemed like the only way.

Subject 3 herself, more commonly known as Tip, was a rather interesting specimen, as she had the rare soul trait of Courage. Courage, he theorised, was the closest a monster could get to Determination without having a repeat of Experiment 4, where several monsters melted and fused together under the influence of Determination.

Along with this, Subject 3 was a revenant Boss Monster, just like him, so he had done little to no research on her physical stability, as revenants are one of the only monsters who can withstand blood. It had been a long and gruelling process, but he finally believed it was time for Experiment 36 to be initiated.

"Dr. Aster...this won't hurt, will it?" Tip stuttered, still waiting to succumb to the anesthetic. Webdings stopped for a second. He knew that Subject 3 could potentially die...and if she did, it would be a shame, especially after the success of Experiment 20. Oh well. There would be no point in lying, anyway.

"It will hurt, even with the anesthetic. You may...you may die for a minute or two, but then be revived. I've done plenty of tests, so the chances of you not coming back...differently are very low." He explained, the monster sighing in relaxation.

"Okay. If this kills me though, it's your fault, Webding. I have a lawyer! And life insurance for the nex-" Tip started, before a glass mask lowered onto her head, silencing her. Slowly, she succumbed to the anesthetic, falling asleep.

"I know. And I don't give a shit. Who cares if you die. All that matters now is getting another human soul." Webdings murmured coldly under his breath, putting his visor on. He pressed a button to the side, and Experiment 36 had begun.

Tip was slowly encased inside a glass tube, which began to heat up. The millions of runes that had been etched into the metal of the table started to glow a bright purple as electric shock waves surrounded the now limp monster.

A stifled moan of pain escaped the monster as Webdings pulled a lever to his left, increasing the magic running through the tube.

Suddenly, Tip awoke, letting out an ear-splitting screech which echoed around the room. And finally, out of exhaustion, her eyelights flickered out, and her breathing hitched.

Webdings watched for a moment, smiling at his success. But slowly, as the transformation stalled, he frowned, and sighed.

"Experiment 36....has failed. At least I can try preserve her soul for my next experimen-" Webdings mumbled, before taking a step backwards. Tip was suddenly surrounded in a navy blue light, with pink streaks running through. Her soul popped out of her body, and split in half, threatening to shatter.

Then, a red aura surrounded the soul, blinding Webdings.

When he finally woke up, he smiled in surprise. "It worked...she's...she's human!" He grinned. This would definetly have to go down in the logs.
