"he broke your heart, huh?" the boy smirked.

"yeah, he did," i bit my lip.

"do you know any sayings about heartbreak? i'm collecting them," the boy asked, i furrowed my eyebrows, but nodded. he motioned for me to continue.

"heartbreak is like a bee sting. it only hurts for some, but for others, it's poisonous," i told him. the boy looked at me quizzically.

"do you live in the nyq apartments, willow?" he asked, looking at my name tag.

"yeah, how do you know?" i questioned.

"i see you leaving the building all of the time," the boy shrugged and grabbed the old notepad off of the counter. he jotted down his number and slid it back to me.

"maybe i'll stop by sometime. we can talk about your poisonous heartbreak," the boy winked.

"uh-" i started, but he cut me off.

"i'm calum, by the way," he winked and left the store.
