i looked at calum distastefully as i opened the door of the convenient store.
he walked up to the counter and grabbed five packs of strawberry gum.
"i'll have one pack of smokes too," he told the girl working there.
"i.d. please," the girl answer monotonically.
calum pulled out his wallet and showed her his driver's license. she nodded to herself and grabbed a pack off of a shelf behind her.
"eleven seventy-five," she muttered. calum handed her fifteen dollars and grabbed his stuff.
"keep the change," he sighed and followed me out of the store.
"i thought you quit," i glared at him, grabbing the cigarettes out of his hand.
"i thought i did too."
