~Y/N's POV~ (A/N Heads up, F/L is First Letter of your name)
After two days, I can't help but stare to the trash can in the corner of my room. It's entirely empty except for the torn sheet of paper. I can't take it anymore. I haven't seen anyone in ages.
I walk over to the bin to take out the paper. Setting it on my desk, the paper seems to have lost its luster, the intrigue. Yet, I still took the roll of tape from the corner of my desk and tore small strips, taping the paper back together. I set the paper down, looking at his name, tracing my fingers along the pen strokes.
Picking up my pen, I began to write. Every line I added tore my heart to shreds. He couldn't trust me, and yet I want him to know everything.
"Chris," It read, the same beauty as the first time I saw it. "You take my heart from me, and tear it apart." I sigh, but continue to write. "Yet somehow, you find a way to pick up all of my broken pieces."
The note went on, and on. I covered the front and back of the paper spilling my guts to this kid, telling him how mad he makes me-- yet how I can't resist him. I paused to look at it all, absolutely overwhelmed.
"I-I" I stuttered, holding back the tears that were coming back from before.
I crush the paper, throwing it back into the trash.
I throw myself back onto my bed, my head falling to my knees as tears stream down my face. I couldn't help but let out some quiet sobs. My eyes shoot up to the window, I step over to it. I open the window, the screen-- missing. I throw my legs over the sill and sit on the frame, looking to the tree that extends itself to the window. The view has always been gorgeous.
Nonetheless, I step back to my room, falling back to the floor. All I can hear is the soft blow of trees in the distance.
The frequent rustling of leaves quickly became louder. I look over to the window, the frame now creaking as a concerned Chris stands where the window would normally be. I forgot to close it.
"H-Hey Y/N" He says, sitting down on the sill, legs facing my room.
I slide myself up from laying, focusing my eyes on him. "Chris..?"
He looks to me, "Look.. I'm sorry." He pauses, biting his lip to hold back any residual pain.
I can't help but look at him, the sunset behind him lighting him almost perfectly. A singular tear rolls down his cheek, reflecting the coral light from the sun.
Neither him nor myself speak a word as I stand up, and slowly take steps towards him. I gingerly lift my hand to his face, my fingers laying on his neck as I wipe away the tear with my thumb. I give him a soft smile before sitting down on my bed.
He purses his lips while looking down at the wood floor of my room. When his eyes flick back up to look at me, he lets out a small smile while another tear falls from his eye. He quickly wipes it away with the palm of his hand, letting a small laugh out.
"The guys miss you.." Chris quietly trails off
A brighter smile comes to my face, "I miss the guys." My eyes catch the paper in the corner of my room, turning back to Chris. "I missed you."
His hand fidgets in his pocket for a short while before he responds, "Y-You did?"
"Of course I did." I turn towards him more, "I just didn't know if you guys wanted me to come back or not."
"Why wouldn't we? You weren't the one who messed up." He drops his smile, "I was."
I run a hand through my hair, "I overreacted though." My eyes begin to sting as they fill with tears again. "It's just.. my dad, he.." I take a sharp shaky breath in. "He always tells me that nobody.. that nobody should trust me."
