"Miguel! Where are you?" Maria calls for her adoptive son.
"What's wrong my love?" Hector asks, holding a small female child, about the age of three when she died.
"Miguel trashed the kitchen again." She placed her hands on her hips but smiles and tales her youngest from her husband. Its been about six years after they got married. They adopted young Rosa three years ago, keeping her original name.
"Aye...I'll look for him." Maria nods and takes her daughter to her room. After they married, they had given Coco and the rest of the Rivera family the tower and moved in to a small three bedroom home just a little ways away.
"I found him Maria!" Hector calls from the other room, pulling a defeated looking young boy, the age of seven, into the room.
"Let me put Rosa to sleep, then we can talk." She says tucking in the small child. Afterwards they walk out into the living room and sit the boy down.
"Now...why did you trash the kitchen? Again?" Hector crosses his arms and the boy starts breathing heavily, tears filling his eyes.
"Wh..why did they not want me?" Miguel was adopted just recently, his name being changed since he didn't like it. He had died and gotten shunned by his dead family.
"It is hard. It happens, your ancestors may be nice sometimes, but other times, they hate new people. But we took you in because we want you. You deserve more than them." She places a hand on her sons head. He cries more, pulling her into a hug. Hector hugs them both and smile.
"We will give you a better life. Promise." Maria kisses her sons head. He sniffs and nods.

"Okay everyone! Hurry up. Its almost time to go." Hector calls after everyone, Maria smiling as Rosa runs to her.
"Our living family is waiting for us~" she nuzzles her daughter who giggles happily.
"Mama! Papa! I can't find my tie!" Miguel calls from his room.
"Its down here. I got it." Hector calls back. Miguel rushes down the stairs and stands in front of his papa who helps tie it for him. When everyones ready, they head to the bridge. Miguel starts sweating, slowing down slightly as they get closer.
"If my dead family didn't want me...what if my living family didnt put up my photo?" He shakes nervously.
"It'll be fine. Come one." Maria pats his back and sets Rosa down to step in front of the scanner with Hector. The happy ding sounds and they smile. Miguel pulls Rosa's hand and they stand in front of the scanner. He closes his eyes tightly and another ding sounds.
"Your photos are on your families ofrendas. Have a great visit you lot." The lady smiles, extending a hand to the bridge.
Hector ruffles Miguel's hair and picks up Rosa. The family walking proudly across the bridge to see the rest of their family. Maria smiles at her Miguel, happily playing along as his new girlfriend sings next to him.
"That's who I'm named after?" little Miguel asks.
"Yes, he is my best friend." Maria smiles.
"And my great great grandson." Hector moves to grab another guitar, playong along with him as maria danced with her daughter.
"This is your family now, and we love you so much."
"Tell me the story again mama?"
"The story, the story!" Rosa happily repeats, pleading to her mama.
Hector smiles and sits down, playing a softer toon as Maria clears her throat.
"Sometimes, I think I'm cursed..."
