You Should Open Your Eyes

realisation, the kiss and decisions

Emily's POV

*Dream*

I'm walking through a forest and there was a small cottage to my right. There was loose papers everywhere. I had a car crash and I was looking for something. That's when I heard the howl and the scream.

"Emily! Emily please!! help me!!" Niall!! Another blood curling scream sounded. He was being tortured.

"Niall?! I'm here! Where are you?" Another scream

"Don't stand there! Help me!! no, no, PLEASE NOOOOOOO!!" "Niall!" I scream.

I start sprinting in random directions looking for him when a large tall figure with tenticals was coming towards me..... He had a head in his hands. The head had blonde hair. "Niall" I tremble. The figure had a smile.... that made me was to go into a corner and cry. He reached for me when I heard a voice. It was singing

'If I'm louder, would you see me?

Would you lay down

In my arms and rescue me?'

There was a bright light then I felt my neck snap, but it didnt matter. I was with Niall. I was in heaven with him and it didn't matter. Because I loved him.

*dream over*

I wake up with strong arms hanging loosly around my hips. I don't remember anyone coming into my room last night. I start to relive that horrible dream that I had. I remember what I was thinking. Did I love Niall? When he kissed me on the forehead, I didn't blush from embarrassment. It was from pleasure.

I'll think about that later. I roll over to try and figure out who was in bed with me. I don't remember letting anyone sleep in the same bed. I lightly feel their hair and... It was Niall. Why was he here? I'll ask him when he wakes up. I slowly get out of his grasp and get up. I put on my top that I had brought and realise. How am I meant to get out to the kitchen? I don't even know what time it is, or if anyone is awake?

I slowly get out of the room and try to remember the way. You turn right I'm pretty sure. Keeping my hand lightly on the wall, I start walking. "Emily?" Liam's voice says making me jump. "You looking for the kitchen?" He asks. "Yeah I am? Where did I end up?" I ask, maybe I was meant to turn somewhere. "In my room. You missed a turn to your left. C'mon I'll guide you." Damn it! Oh well, I wanted to talk to him anyways.

He guides me to the kitchen then makes me breakfast. "Um Liam?" I ask inbetween mouth falls of cereal. "Yes Em?" I think how to put it so I start from my dream. "I had a dream last night and I.... I wanted to talk to you about it."

"Of cause. What was your dream?"

I take a deep breath; afterall, its a LONG story. "Well, I was walking through a forest and then Niall was there..... He was screaming like he was being.... tortured. I was looking for him. Then I find a tall.... thing. It wasn't human.... It was like half human half squid. He was holding.... Niall's..... head.... and... He went to.... kill me too.. but then....."

I couldn't finish. I started crying. I felt arms go around my shoulder and Liam asks "Do you need a drink?" I nod. The arms disappear and the sound of running water fills the kitchen. A glass landed on the table in front of me and I took a sip, not knowing how full it was. "Do you want to continue?" Liam's voice says and I nod.

"When he went to reach for me, Niall's voice started singing his solo from 'More Than This' It was like he was singing from heaven. I heard my neck snap, but I didn't care because I was with Niall... Liam?" I ask at the end. "Yes Em?"

"I- I think I'm in love with Niall"

-Liam's POV-

She is in love with Niall? That's no surprise. I nod knowing that, this would happen. "I know. And do you know what?" I say kindly. She looks up her eyes still red and puffy. "I think he's in love with you too" I tell her. She goes red and says. "Really? Are you sure?" I nod. "All of the others think it too. We were watching you last night. I hope you don't mind" She shakes her head showing she didn't mind. "Honestly Em. That kiss he gave you on the nose. It was special. It meant something" I finished and she blushed.

Danielle walks down the stairs then. She has a bedhead, but it looks cute. "Morning" She grumbles and Emily jumps. "Morning" was my reply and I kiss her on the cheek. "How did you sleep?" I ask her and she grumbles. "Not a morning person?" Emily guesses and I reply "Nope" popping the P. "What ever. What were you guys talking about?" She asks and I look at Emily. If she wanted to tell Dani, she was on her own. "Ask Em" I say. "It's not my place to say" We both look at Em and she says. "I'm in love with Niall" Dani squeals with excitement "That is adorable!"

-Emily's POV-

Half an hour later Niall wakes up and eats 13 pancakes for breakfast. He sits beside me on the couch and we started talking. "How did your mother ever feed you as a kid?" I tease and his beautiful laugh filled the room. "Honestly? I don't know" I joined in the laughing and the cling of keys sounded out in the main hallway. "Okay guys, me and Dani are going out. Niall, look after Em and behave!" Liam says in a stern tone. "Sure thing Dad!" Niall jokes and the door shuts.

After a few moments awkward silence Niall says "Do you want to go back to your place? We can play guitar then" I nod and feel my way back into the guest room, to make the bed and collect my dress.

The drive didn't take very long. The time passed by me listening to Niall sing to the songs that were being played on the radio. His voice was amazing.

When the car stops I unbuckle myself and Niall guides me to the door. I didn't need help from there I walk in and lead him straight to my room. "Niall, what time is it?" I ask. Mum should be home shouldn't she? "Erm. 10:40 why?" Oh she might be at work. She could have gotten a extra shift. "Oh, just wondering where my mum was. She must be a work." I tell him.

I find my guitar and ask "What do you want to play?" I ask him. A few seconds silence whilst he thought. "Hey, do you know how to play What Makes You Beautiful?" I shake my head and he sits closer to me. "Your tune is perfect. hmm okay A chord first, then C, then repeat" He says. After half an hour, I could play the song with no mistaks. "That's it! Hi five!" Niall says and we slam palms together making a load snap. "Hey, do you want to hear me on piano?" I ask. "Yeah! Of cause!"

I take his hand and pull him, back down the hall. When I let go to sit down, there was a tingling sensation left in my fingertips. "How about a game? I start to play a song and you guess what it is?" I ask. "Yes! This will be so much fun!" Niall says. I start to play the Harry Potter theme song. It took him a few seconds then he got it. "Wow that was really good! Another one!" I played him the Simpsons, I Want, Jar Of Hearts and Torn. He was good at guessing all of the songs. By the end of it we were laughing and I felt his breath tickle my face. We were that close together. I reach for the back of his neck. Then I lightly press my lips, to his.

It was a really sweet kiss. But it had a lot of meaning. I realise that this was long over due. I only just realised how long I knew I loved him. And he liked me back. I could tell by the way he was kissing me. I couldn't tell if it was love for him, but it was something more than friendship. Our lips break apart so we could breathe and I remember the question I had this morning.

"Niall? Why were you in my bed this morning?" He chuckles and said. "Last night I was getting some water and I heard you whimpering in your sleep. I went into your room and saw you turning and trembling with fear. I started to sing to you like I used to. It worked and I fell asleep with you."

That is it. I have made up my mind. In three months time I WILL, be having that operation on my eyes. It will make my life easier for me. I can pour my own breakfast and brush my own teeth. But this was also for Niall. I would be able to see him again, be able to see his laugh, his gorgeous blonde hair and his eyes, that I knew would leave me in a trance.

I would do all of this for him.
