For Sara delivery to the ranch became dreaded task, but the money was sorely needed. She tried to avoid Wes, but it seemed he was always around the house on Tuesday morning when she arrived.

She unloaded the order and turned her delivery wagon happy and disappointed at the same time. He wasn't around.

As she drove back just down the road one of the wagon wheels collapsed. This was the last thing she needed besides issues at home.

Martha for a few days pressed on the subject of Mr. Whitey.

"Sara you are not getting any younger. Who will want you if you wait any longer? He is a fine man." She repeated herself many times.

"I can't marry him. I don't love him, and he doesn't love me." Sara tried to reason with Martha.

"You were never sensible." Martha got up from the chair and walked towards her bedroom just to turn around and walk back to the kitchen, " Maybe it's time for you to find yourself different accommodation. I'm in mind to sell this farm and move to town. There won't be room for you." She finally revealed the reason for wanting Sara out.

This farm was only home she knew. It provided a roof over her head no matter how bad she had it over the years. Sara got devastated, and the sadness moved into her eyes. Everything pressed down on her, and she could feel the weight of the world on her slender shoulders.

Now on top of everything the delivery wagon got broken. While she inspected the break the deep voice beside her startle her,"You should fix your wagon before delivery." Wes dismounted and stood beside her. Without another word he looked at the damage.

"This wagon is staying here tonight. It can't be fixed until tomorrow morning. You wait here. I'll get surrey and drive you home." Sara thought the things couldn't get worse. It was an hour drive with Wes back to the farm.

She sat beside him feeling his strength and his muscularity and her heart took on its own rhythm. Sitting beside her in the surrey Wes felt her softness and the only thing he thought of was how beautiful, fresh and sweet she was. His desire for her was something he couldn't suppress or ignore. They were two opposite magnets put close together. Without the warning he drove the surrey of the road and stopped under the oak tree. He pulled her towards him, and captured her face in between his hands.

"Sara" he whispered and kissed her lips gently. He pressed her to the seat and his firm lips turned into the tool made for igniting desire. At the first touch of his body Sara got helpless. It was a dream, it must be one of her dreams. Without resistance she returned his kisses. He kissed her with passion of a man starved for it and she was equally starved for him. Her arms encircled his neck and she pressed herself closer to him. His hands found their way under her skirt and up her leg. Sara moaned, " Wes". Her fingers got tangled in his dark hair. His strong body, the feel of him next to her, and nothing matter, nothing was important but this moment with him. She could hardly remembered the rest except when the stars exploded in front of her eyes.

It was an awkward drive back. He left her at the farm without much else except, " Tom will fix your wagon in the morning.I'll send someone to deliver it tomorrow." He seemed in rash to leave.

"Wes..." She tried to find the words, but could hear Martha screaming, " Sara!!!!....Sara!!!!!!"

"I gotta go..." Sara hurried inside. She didn't wanted her to come out.

"Where are you? I have to do everything here myself."

He can't let his emotions control him.Wes wasn't too pleased with himself. This shouldn't of happened. He still felt her sweetness, her smell, her kisses, her soft touch, and gentle caress. He didn't need a girl to have this kind of power over him. She got under his skin and his heart threaten to be consumed as well. Wes tried hard to shake it off. The next few months he avoided Sara.

One day he thought he found the solution. He rode through the town and spotted Rowena. If he marries her Sara won't be constantly on his mind. With house finished that was the next step everyone expected him to do. Being judge's daughter Rowena will make an appropriate wife.

Sara felt that he avoided her after that day. At the church he pretended he didn't see her. A few more times she delivered to the ranch he wasn't there.

Mrs. Pers told her they are fine with vegetables for now and will place another order in the fall. Sara minus the money was glad she didn't have to drive to the ranch. She felt different and not herself lately.

After a few months Sara lost her breakfast a few times and got nauseated. Soon she discovered she was pregnant. To tell Martha was out of the question. Sara knew she'd immediately throw her out of the house.
