"We will accept your invitation. It is important that Sara get to know you all. My family will have to wait, but they will understand."
Frank heard a lot about Jades, but he never dreamed he'll meet any of them. In the western parts Roy Jade was well known in the business world, and his sons followed his footsteps.
"It has been our pleasure to get to know not just my niece who we thought vanished with her parents, but you as well Mr. Jade."
"Please call me Wes. We are now a family after all."
"Wes it is then."
Sara was in awes how easily he got along with her family.
Rose got up and smiled at them, "You must be tired after such a day. I better show you to your bedroom." Sara wanted to protest, but it would look silly to request separate rooms. After Rose left they were alone. The oil lamp she left behind cast shadows all over the wall and Sara's face. Her fingers got pale from clasping her hands together as she glanced at the bed. It was a huge four poster bed with handmade quilts, but more intimidating was the sight of her tall husband that stood nearby without his shirt. His upper body was dark from the long hours working in the sun. Their eyes met. Did he expected her to sleep in the same bed with him?
"Why are you looking at the bed this way Sara?"
"I'm not .....looking at it .." She didn't realize how intensely he watched her, and tried to deny the obvious.
"From now on we are together in every way, but you don't have to worry. Nothing will happen that you don't want."
Sara got shy, and cast her eyes down. It was easy to be brave down below with her aunt, uncle and cousin in attendance. Now it was the two of them. She never slept with anyone and this will be the first time she'll sleep with her husband. Wes saw her discomfort and gave her one of his devastating smiles, from which Sara's inside melted. It was just like in her dreams. He came to her side and looped his arm around her waist.
"Don't be shy Sara." He held her close against him and kissed her gently. His fingers worked their way down while he unhooked the dress buttons one by one and at the same time caressed her spine. The fabric of her dress found its way to the floor and the thin shift she wore followed. It left her skin to skin with her husband's body. She couldn't resist him, every time he was this close her knees got weak, and her nerve endings tingle.
And he thought he didn't want this. It came as pure heaven to hold her, and no other woman came near to it.Wes had his share of girlfriends, but with them has been always only the physical part of it. Again the realization sprang into his mind that he loves his wife desperately. He'd fallen in love with her, and love for her was so real it reached every part of him. That she carries his child just got him to the point of bursting with pride.
**** He inhaled deep and savoured the moment. Wes never thought he could love anyone like this. It was always fun, but to love and hold was a new experience for him. He only hoped she could love him again and he didn't kill her love for him completely.
Sara got lost in his kisses, helpless. Without his shirt his solid, sleek, muscular body against her. She had loved him for too long not to react, and she shivered from the feel of him. It was a sensation stronger than anything she ever felt. The urge to hold on to him got unbearable and broke through her shyness resulting in her hands on his chest. They slid up his muscles and around his thick neck, the movement brought their bodies even closer together. He groaned from the pure pleasure of her touch and her soft skin against his. The jolt of desire traveled through him, but he decided not to rush, to go slow, give her time, and make sure she's comfortable.
