I floated down and hid behind a boulder, it was just big enough to cover me.
He was a blue Frieza race. He had blue and red skin with spikes all over his body. Two on each side of his head, one on each shoulder, one each coming from the back of his forearms, one each on his shins, three each on both feet, and at least a dozen down his tail.
He seemed not to notice me as he was stretching out for his training session. He finally finished stretching and had a serious look on his face.
"Kaioken!" He yelled powering up. He pulled out a watch and sat down in the grass just meditating.
"This is dumb, I need to train myself.' I thought. I turned to go head back to the school when I noticed he had vanished in front of me.
I looked back to make sure there wasn't two of him."Who are you?" He asked me still in Kaioken. "I haven't seen you on our planet before, you must be from this universe right?" He asked.
"Yea, I am." I said sheepishly.
He looked like he wanted to fight, but I did not. What if he was stronger than me and could beat me to a pulp.
"Where are the rest of you?" He asked questioningly.
"Dead." I responded coldly. "The god of destruction blew up our planet. I was the only survivor." I said looking away.
"That's rough." He said.
There was an awkward silence. He still hadn't powered down his Kaioken yet, and I started to wonder how he could hold it so effortlessly for so long.
"How are you doing that?" I asked him.
"Doing what?" He asked with a confused expression on his face.
"How are you holding that Kaioken for so long without hurting yourself?" I asked.
He smiled. "I trained for hours until I could hold it without it draining stamina. I can use it up to times ten without even breaking a sweat." He said.
If I could do that too it might hold an advantage in my next tournament fight. "You have to teach me that!" I said excitedly.
His smile disappeared. "I really dislike teaching people... but I'll do it since you ARE from the same race." He said. He grabbed my arm and drug me down to the grass next to him. "Ok power up your Kaioken." He said sternly.
"Kaioken!" I yelled powering up. "What now?" I asked him.
"Now we sit and meditate for ten minutes." He said.
"I can't do that, my stamina will be completely gone." I said panicking.
"If you can't do it then your not even worth my time." He said.
"Fine! I'll do it." I said. I sat down in the grass trying to keep myself together. About halfway in I started to feel weaker. My breaths started to get heavier and heavier. He seemed to notice.
"Control your breathing. That's a key point of controlling your Kaioken!" He yelled at me.
I started to ease up on my breathing but it still seemed not to work. About three more minutes in my muscles started to spasm.
"Keep yourself together. You have to have an iron like will go keep this up." He said.
I tried and tried. Eventually the ten minutes were up.
"Ok you can power down for a little while." He said.
I looked over and he set the clock for 2 minutes.
"Now practice your punches against me." He said.
I tried to punch him in the face but he blocked. "Harder! Always give your best strike!" He yelled.
I tried again this time and I noticed that he was barely able to block it.
We went on and on like that until the two minutes had passed.
"Times up!" He yelled. "Now we spar."
I started to get excited. I hadn't fought anyone that was at my level for a long time.
"But you have to use your Kaioken to deafeat me." He said.
"No problem!" I said. "Kaioken!" I yelled powering up once more.
He came at me almost at blinding speed.
I dodged his initial punch but he slapped me with his tail throwing me into the air.
I recovered my balance. He vanished behind me preparing a kick.
I vanished behind him as he threw his kick. "Death beam!" I yelled shooting my beams at him.
He vanished behind me before they hit and slammed me into the ground. He was really strong and fast too.
I got up and sped towards him. I faked a death beam to make him vanish behind me. "Got you!" I yelled slamming my foot into his stomach. I followed it up with a punch to the face, but he vanished behind me.
He slammed me into the ground with the spikes on his tail.
I got back up.
He vanished in front of me throwing punch after punch and kick after kick.
I was blocking them all but I couldn't see an opening for a counter attack. I decided to triple the Kaioken. "Kaioken Times three!" I yelled powering up further. I used the opening I created to punch him square in the jaw. I vanished behind him following up with a kick to the back and finally a kick to the head sending him flying.
"Kaioken Times FOUR!" He yelled going even further than I did. He vanished in front of me and slammed me into the ground before I even realized it.
I was so hurt that my Kaioken wore off. I felt my ribs broken and I was bleeding from the center of my chest.
He floated down next to me. "You did good kid." He said. He shoved a green pill in my mouth which I swallowed.
I could feel it healing me.
"Sorry about that I just got carried away." He said. He started to float off into the sky when he stopped and looked back at me. "By the way my name is Berserker!" He yelled before flying off in the direction of the school.
I hope I don't have to fight him in the next round. Until then I'll train on my own.
