After training on my own with the Kaioken for a while I decided to fly back to the school to catch a few fights from the first round of the tournament. Nothing super interesting happened but it got me itching for the next round of the tournament. Soon the second round began.
It seemed to me like the only people fighting were student trainers, and a few random people every now and then.
'Would I have to fight a trainer?' I thought to myself. Just then I noticed Berserker looking at me from across the seating area.
We made eye contact. He smiled and gave me a thumbs up.
Next up, we have Pyrite vs. Lilly!" The announcer screamed through the mic.
Whispers filled the arena as I walked down to the arena.
"I wonder if he's gonna kill Lilly too?" Someone whispered.
"No way, Lilly can definitely hold her own. Even against a cold hearted killer." Someone else said.
"My bets on Lilly. She'll dominate that yellow guy." I stepped into the ring.
"Good luck, Pyrite." Lilly said extending her hand.
I shook it. "Thanks." I said.
We both got into our corners of the arena waiting for the fight to start.
"Begin!" The announcer yelled.
"Kaioken!" Lilly yelled powering up right off the bat.
We went at each other at the same speed.
She went on the offensive punching at me furiously.
I was dodging and looking for any opening in her onslaught. I retreated backwards.
She vanished in front of me.
This time I went on the offensive, trying to land a hit but she was to fast to hit.
She tried retaliating, but I formed an after image and vanished behind her grabbing her with my tail. "Death beam!" I yelled blasting her through the chest three times. I threw her into the wall. "Death wave!" I yelled throwing a vertical purple wave at her.
She flew into to air avoiding it. "Double Destructo disk!" Lilly yelled throwing two yellow saucers at me.
"Death beam!" I yelled shooting them in mid air causing an explosion.
She vanished in front of me. "Kamehameha!" She yelled blasting me in the stomach.
I flew backwards into the wall behind me.
"Kaioken!" I yelled powering up. I sped towards Lilly slamming her in the stomach following up with a sledgehammer to the back.
She slammed into the ground making an impact crater.
"Death beam!" I yelled blasting her in the back.
"Kaioken times three!" She yelled powering up even further. She vanished in front of me throwing another onslaught of punches and kicks.
I easily dodged them all and slugged her in face throwing her into wall. I flew up in the air looking for her in the dust cloud from the wall. I could see something yellow glowing though the smoke. I made a spear out of my ki and threw it into the smoke.
Right before it hit the ground Lilly vanished in front of me. She was holding a huge Destructo disk above her head.
"Giant Destructo disk!" She yelled as she threw it into my stomach.
It slashed through my abdomen and sent me flying to the ground making a large impact crater.
My Kaioken wore off. I felt like I was gonna loose the fight. I felt like I would die if I continued. But I got up anyway. The pain in my body hurt bad from the Kaioken, But if I didn't push myself harder I wouldn't get any stronger.
"Raaaaaaa!" I yelled powering up again. I could feel my body changing and reforming itself.
My bones were getting stronger and my armor was re-inventing itself. I grew spikes on my forearms, shoulders and two from my back. My tail grew 6 little spikes on the end of it. I felt more powerful than before. "Kaioken times three!" I yelled.
Lilly rushed at me.
We both threw punch after punch perfectly matching each other and cancelling out the others power.
Lilly retreated. "Chain Destructo disk barrage!" Lilly yelled throwing five giant disks at me.
I gracefully dodged through them all one by one.
She was standing still in awe.
"Death psycho bomb!" I yelled cloaking her in my ki and blowing it up.
She vanished behind me.
I slashed her with the spikes on my tail before turning to face her. "Death spear!" I yelled forming a spear of ki in my hand and impaling her left leg.
She vanished behind me again. Charging up a kamehameha.
I raised my hand pouring my ki into it making a death ball.
"Kamehameha!" She yelled launching the ki wave at me.
I flung my Death ball at her. It shredded through her Kamehameha and blew her up.
She was still standing there. She raised her hand. "I give up!" She yelled.
