A Fool's Eutopia

Tyrants as kings,
Ignorant as crowds.
Idiots alive,
Thinkers in shrouds.

The nibs are melted,
The swords are made.
Facts be damned,
Histories are changed.

Blue ink and red blood,
Drip from a severed head.
'He was a sinner, an atheist!
Let no tear be shed!'

Idols and Wealth,
Stand on the same pedestals.
Purple Iris plucked,
Stomped are their petals.

The sheep follow the wolves,
The strayers in jail.
The change makers are chained,
The -isms prevail.

The scholars are banned,
The fools are freed.
Truth is hanged,
Lies are preached.

A Coward's country,
A merciful plight.
A dystopian society,
No peace in sight.

A/N: Not really a fan of authors note in the poems but just wanted to say that I wrote this poem based on the current political scenario of my country. Hopefully, this dystopia never comes true.
