Twisted Diamonds and the Hidden Spade

Chapter II

After searching through the Spade Kingdom once again, they still didn't have any luck finding the Queen of Spades. They three get back to the castle and Alfred goes to his room to rest up, letting out a groan as he flops onto his bed. He didn't even bother to change out of his royal blue clothes. He then drifts off into a well needed slumber.

Yao enters his office with Matthew following him. "Ai-yah... no one in this kingdom posses the mark of the Queen of Spades... do you have any ideas?" He asks the Ace of Spades.

"We could try and search in other kingdoms, after getting their permission of course..." Matthew suggests in a small voice.

"That sounds like a good plan. I know the Heart Kingdom will let us search freely without any issues... It's the Club and Diamond Kingdoms that we'll have the most trouble with." Yao agrees with Matthew who nods in agreement.

"Alright. I'll leave you to it I guess, I have to go do some paperwork. Au revoir." Matthew says, leaving the jack to his own thoughts. Yao lets out a sigh and starts composing a letter to the Heart Kingdom, letting them know that they are in search of the Queen of Spades. Also asking permission to search inside their kingdom for the spaidian queen and puts the letter in the "send" pile. He then composes a note for the Alfred, saying that he was going on a trip for a little bit and that he will search for the queen while visiting. Yao gets up and quickly gets ready for his trip, slipping the note under Alfred's door before leaving the castle.

Yao had planned this trip for a while now and he let Alfred know in advance, but he just wanted to give him another reminder before he left. Yao got on his horse and starts his journey to border of the Club Kingdom. He know it was dangerous and if he got caught, then he could be in serious trouble, but he wanted to go see King Ivan. The reason being simple, the Chinese Jack of Spades and the Russian King of Clubs were in love. About every three months or so, they would plan to meet each other in a field separating the two kingdoms and spend a night in the field before returning to their rightful kingdoms.
After the two day journey to the field, Yao finally reaches his destination. He arrives a bit earlier than Ivan and starts to set out some food. He isn't kept waiting long when Ivan arrives and he smiles at the jack.

"Hello Yao. Have you been waiting long?" Ivan greets the jack.

"Ai-yah!" The chinese man jumps, not noticing Ivan arrival. "Oh, Ivan it's just you." Yao lets out a sigh. "No I have not, how have you been?"

"I have been good, da." Ivan says with a smile and hugs Yao. "How has my sunflower been doing?"

Yao lets out a sigh. "I have been alright, a bit stressed." He states truthfully, hugging Ivan back.

"What has been causing you the stress?"

"I-it's just that... We've searched all over the Spade Kingdom and there's no sign of the queen anywhere."

"Really?" Ivan questions slightly shocked.

"Yes, and we have searched the kingdom more than once, I'm afraid that the kingdom will collapse if we don't find them soon." Yao says worriedly. "You should know that a kingdom isn't stable without the queen, or if it's missing any of the royal members of it..."

Ivan nods. "Da... but I don't know what I could do to help sunflower... I don't want to make it obvious to Alfred, but I want to help you..." Yao lets out a sigh and snuggles into Ivan's embrace.

"Let me think of something, but until then, let's forget about it and enjoy our time." Yao looks up to Ivan and offers a small smile. Ivan smiles back.

"Sure thing sunflower."

In the Diamond Kingdom, in the king's study, a certain frenchman was planning on making Arthur fall in love with him. King Francis was daydreaming about Arthur. "Maybe I should invite him over for tea~ get to know 'im one on one... I just can't let the Spade Kingdom in and no one will know that he is queen to the spaidian throne. I will protect you ma chérie."
