My legs forced me into action, before I could think I was sliding off Kylian's bed and making my way out the door in search of Anne.

My legs carried me to Katherine's room first, I tried to ground myself, a large part of me was trying to convince me that this was a dream.

A stupid dream.

But my bare feet slapping against the cold tiles suggested differently.

When I got to Katherine's room Anne was just covering her up with a blanket. When she noticed I was there she threw me a cold glare. I opened my mouth to apologize some more and to try to explain what was happening when she walked in, even though the events leading up to the moment seemed insignificant now.

She gave pointed looked at Katherine's sleeping figure and I closed my mouth.

My lips still tingled and I had to fight the irrational part of my brain that was telling me to bring my hand up to my lips to touch them.

I've had my first kiss... with Kylian

I shook my head trying to erase the irrationality, here I was... probably about to be fired from my first real job and I was thinking about a boy?

Anne walked over and closed the door gently behind her, she didn't even spare me a sideward glance. Instead she started walking in the direction of what I assumed to be the room she and her husband shared. We didn't go into her room. However, there was a door that led to her office and she may her way inside, motioning for me to close the door behind me.

I did, before shuffling on my feet nervously, trying to figure out where to start.

"Anne I'm sorry...I"

I was cut off by her cold voice,

"Its Mrs. Williams."

I furrowed my brow, openly showing how confused I was. Before it dawned on me, we're now back to square one. Where she was my employer and I was just another employee.

I licked my dry lips while nodding my head.
"Mrs. W-williams, I know that what you saw was very incriminating. And I'm really sorry, I know I crossed the line and I just want to apologize because what happened was very unprofessional and I don't know, like one moment..." I trailed off and my hand reached up to grab my hair and I pulled.

"I'm so sorry." I said finally.

She just watched me, under her almost steel gaze I felt how insignificant I had become. I could feel her undoing all the kind smiles, and compliments and trust she had given to me.

She was stripping me of them with her gaze, when I was reduced to nothing but a stranger, another employee... she spoke, "What I walked in on...was unprofessional indeed. But that's not even half of it, it's the disrespect Ms. Graham. It's the disregard for the trust my family... my husband and I had put in you. As soon as you got the chance alone you basically seduced our son."

I gasped, then opened my mouth to point out how very wrong she was.

She held a hand up stopping me. "What were you trying to achieve Ms. Graham? Do you feel accomplished, was this the plan all along?" She shook her head at me and sighed. The disappointment and disgust in her voice was akin to being yelled at by a parent. She was always such a nice woman, kind smiles and all that.

But this part of her was probably reserved for people who had crossed her, and ultimately her family.

"For some reason, I don't know if it was an act or anything. But my family genuinely had started to grow fond of you over the last month. But what happened today has proved that it was just an act, was this because you googled our company? Did you have some grand plot to get knocked up by my son so he'd have to marry you?"
