Chapter 7

The team was walking together towards a nearby convenience store so that the third years could buy pork buns for the rest.

"Hey, Hinata! You never told us where you work? Or where you live? Do you live nearby?" Tanaka put his arm around Shōyōs shoulder again causing him to almost stumble on his bike. What's his problem? Does he know what personal space is? Or privacy at all?

"Ah, Tanaka-senpai! You startled me... well I work at this café in the town but no I don't live nearby..."

"Eh... maybe I'll come by some time at the café! Which one is it?"

"It's Doutor... it would be fun if you guys came by..."

Shōyō could see from the corner of his eye that Kageyama had glanced at him for a brief second. So he remembered?

"Eh?! That place is popular! It's my favourite coffee shop in entire Miyagi!" Suga exclaimed as he looked at Shōyō with admiration.

"Can you make can you make a caramel tart?! It's my favourite!"

"Y-yes... I can make nearly everything on the list except the new items that I'm still learning..."

"How come I never saw you there. How long have you even been working?" Ennoshita asked.

"I've been working for about... two or three months, I think. Maybe you just came when I wasn't taking orders or when I wasn't working..."

"Yeah... maybe..."

"You never said where you lived! Do you live nearby?" Tanaka asked again. How annoying...

"I already said that I don't live nearby..."

"Eh... you did? Anyway, where do you live?" Tanaka pestered.

"Do you know that steep hill beside ________ road?" Tanaka and Suga nodded which surprised Shōyō. When did Suga-senpai join this conversation?

"Well I live in an apartment beyond the hill... kinda. It was the cheapest I found but I'm planning on moving somewhere else soon, I don't if I'll find a better one though..."

"You're talking like you're living alone..." Ennoshita said.

"It's not like I'm not..." Shōyō muttered.

"What did you say?"

"Ah, nothing!"

"Guys, do you want pork buns or not?!" Daichi shouted from a distance as he waved frantically.

"Coming!!" Shōyō shouted as he quickly ran towards the others while Ennoshita watched him.

"Eh?! It's you?!" Shōyō shouted and pointed at a duo that came in through the gymnasium doors. He was, apparently, very surprised by what he saw.

"Oh, just great. The shrimp from the other day is here and he's annoying as well..." the blond glasses kid who Shōyō doesn't remember the name of spoke up.

"What did you say?! I can probably jump higher than your height you damn blond telephone pole!"

"Hey, no fighting!!" Suga said. The blond kid clicked his tongue and walked away together with his adorable little follower. Just great... another rude person. First Tanaka, then Kageyama and now him...

"Come on first years and Tanaka. Get ready for the match!" Daichi exclaimed as he started stretching.

Not to long after they lined up and shook hands.
